I rember when moonshine was abig bussines in north carolina halled some never could stand the taste I'm 72 and and no longer take chances with the law
Not that many know legendary songwriter Don Raye co-wrote this with Robert Mitchum (too bad gorgeous, sultry Keely Smith didn't put her jazz spin on it in the movie 'Thunder Road').
Those tracking Don Raye's song masterpieces should be delighted to hear this & hats off to you for posting it. 5*****
This song is so badly, so woefully sung, and the lyric is so damned corny .. that it's a WONDERFUL reverse-novelty collector's item. I wish I'd bought an original vinyl copy of this one, somewhere along the way. As a singer .. Robert Mitchum sure makes a great dramatic actor. Thanks yet again, ljimmie2 .. you're my kinda guy. Your postings + your channel content is great, mate !!

Does anyone know the studio musicians names that recorded this song without me having to query the L.A. musicians local?
