@max5941 I have lived in every capital city in Australia except Hobart and Melbourne is by far the most beautiful city. Maybe you should have gotten your mummy to put you in a booster seat whlist driving because you obviously couldnt see.
@Max5941 can you stop over-analysing please? Every time I watch a video about my hometown and most liveable city, you drain it with your false and invalid comments. I'll embarrass you on YouTube by clarifying your views on Melbourne.
Crown casino is not an attraction, The museum can't be pointless if it's very enjoyable for children and have a real rain forest in there, it does not matter where Scienceworks is located (you compared it to post-apocolyptic? It's not Mad Max!) and the suburbs are
@liamhomzey hey Liam. I had a beaut time.Weather wasnt too nice when I was there but we all had fun. Back in Newcastle.Have been for over a week. Wish I was back in melbourne tho. The trams are fun. I do hope I go back again some day.
enjoyed melbourne when i lived there in 2009 but i got robbed once and see a good few fights at night and , i wouldnt live there not for those reasons but it lacked true culture for me sorry oz!!
The Melbourne CBD is ok. It is the ONLY part of melbourne that is ok. Of you visit DO NOT leave the CBD. Anywhere you go outside of the CBD is a depressingly ugly, run down hole. just disgusting everywhere you go. It doesn't matter one bit what suburb you are in it is all sickeningly ugly. Just real shitty dreary, drab, brown , badly kept brick homes and yards everywhere. UGH!!! Stay in the CBD and you won't be repulsed
@Dimitri0809 Actually the best part about Melbourne is it's not trying to be like any other city. It's just Melbourne, you can't compare it to any other city, especially LA I don't know how you came up with that. If you think it's like San Francisco solely based on the trams, Melbourne has one of the largest tram networks in the world . San Francisco has a total of 3 lines, so that hardly makes Melbourne the wannabe city.
@JaneWonderfallss You are welcome here anytime. Australia is very multicultural, especially Melbourne, and you will not have a problem. That being said, I'd advise anyone who is thinking of travelling anywhere not to travel alone. : )
Fortunately, Melbourne also has the highest-grade quality heroin available in the free world, rendering even the most soul-sucking, mind numbing AFL season relatively ease to cope with.
Great video of Melbourne, I'm from Sydney but I love Melbourne. It's a beautiful city with a great deal offer. Thanks for taking so much effort creating it. I've replayed it a dozen times!!!
You did a really good job with this video, its a perfect representation of THE most beautiful city :) alot of memories came back to me from spending time in the CBD with my girlfriend.. Thanks for that :)
I was born with the ringing sound of tram bells of Racecourse Rd, Mt Alexander Rd and Elizibeth St. The world is truely a beautiful place but how blessed am I to come back to Melbourne my home. great history, great people, great place. My home in which I can navigate blind folded using my heart as a compass. Love this city
@DIANAROSS4EVER I wish it was an Aussie track, but sadly it is not. I use YouTube's AudioSwap feature to avoid copyright issues, and at 10 mins there aren't too many tracks to pick from, but I loved this one as soon as I heard it. It is the extended version of a song called Makin' Me Crazy by Jane Jay. The radio edit can be found on a compilation on iTunes called Euro Club Hits Vol. 3. Cheers for your comment, and you are welcome to come down-under any time. : )
Oooh I'm thinking of moving here for a few months from the UK on my own...eek! It looks pretty huge!! Lots to see though, amazing. Is it easy to get around?
@libertyparker There is plenty of local transport around, and when getting about by car, it doesn't really take that long to get anywhere. Peak times can be an issue, but what city doesn't have that problem? It may look big, but I know quite a few people who have come from overseas, including the UK, and they don't think it's that big. They all say the same thing too, that they like living here. Cheers. : )
Thanks for this! I LOVE Melbourne. I'm American and I've been there twice -- in January 2005 and February 2010. Melbourne and Auckland are the only two places in the world I've visited and felt I could live (besides where I am now, in the San Francisco area).
top job! what a city! would have been great to see the albert park lake to melbourne skyline, though. (and no Observation Wheel!) Great effort, Great song too!
@deearkay Thanks for the comment. If you would like to see a little more of Albert Park Lake, there are some extra shots in my other video 'MELBOURNE - A Visit to Eureka Tower.' Cheers. : )
i have lived in melbourne for almost 7 years, and even thought i am already back to my home town, i am still miss melbourne so much... it's the best city in the world.. wish i could go back and stay in melbourne..
awesome video makes me feel proud to be a melbournian all those beautiful sights, too bad about the southern star being in there though big disappointment and waste of money lol
Cheers, and I'm glad the video had some impact on you. I agree with you about the Wheel - something Melbourne didn't need and that isn't unique in the world; considering too that there are observation decks at Eureka and the Rilato, I'm sure there could've been some other attraction they could've thought up.
@vz1pp Thanks. The song is Makin' Me Crazy by Jane Jay; it is the long edit, which was made available to me through YouTube's AudioSwap feature. The radio edit is found on 'Euro Club Hits Vol 3' and is also available through iTunes. : )
great vid. we r melbourne. the city by the yarra. but one thing you missed we r the sporting capital of the world.luv you melbourne allways will. mon the victory
Nice vid mate. Captures the atmosphere quite well. Born in Geelong but lived in Melbourne. Been a while since I was down under. Brings back nice memories. Thanks a lot.
You're welcome. I tried to cram in as much as I could and I'm glad if it resonates with people who have lived or stayed here and who are now overseas. Cheers. :-)
Again, I say you really sell my beautiful city really well. thank you. I am really enjoying watching your work. 3 videos down and lots more to go. Ta!
Thanks for the compliment mate. Some of the content is 2-3 years old, but most of it was done last year when I decided I was going to make a vid. I tried to include as many recognisable landmarks and places from in and around the CBD, but naturally there are some which I didn't include or simply overlooked. Regarding City Museum, it is the correct photo; the actual building is known as Old Treasury, and it is a lot smaller than Parliament. They are however both on Spring St. Cheers. :-)

I respect your views on cities but you keep pointlessly comment about it on YouTube. It's stupid.
Now go live in your housing commission where you deserve to live.
