  • you suck, yous sped up the speed of the video, :P lame

  • @Sh3lz123 facepalm.jpg

  • that dean ML is sooooo sexy. do you still have it?

  • There is a lot of noise in the video, try to record with more volume!

  • Fucking Awesome Man!

  • You're rich, and a fanatic of Trivium! hahaha

  • and who said dean guitars are shit..

  • nice job man! i love the solo

  • Awesome cover, bro! Sounded perfect!

  • Your an amazing guitaristt!!!!!!!!

  • is this slightly faster than the song?

  • what version of sony vegas are you usin

  • @jerrykane01 9.0b platinum.

  • Ohh myy shitt, your amazing!

  • You are unreal!!! Great cover and awesome playin!!!

  • dude ur good!! thats a pretty fast song btw and i think that song kills..awesome just awesome!!

  • this is a great cover... but im SOOO< mad at u and your guitars!! lol. i want them!!

  • ur a fuckin badass man nailed the solo nice job

  • so you put a floyd on that black gold ml?

  • Amazing cover from an amazing song and ironicly u you made this on my birthday last year hahaha

  • bro sick cover man... and are you running that thru ur bugera? if you are what are the settings? cause i got the same amp and i cant get a tone anywhere near as sick as that...

  • @MudstoneNJ Hey man, the tone you hear here is through a microphone and lots of other shit. To get the best tone out of your Bugera 6262 you've gotta get a decent cabinet and probably an overdrive pedal. I made this video a while ago and I can't remember the original settings, but here's what it was (probably).

    Treble: 7.5

    Mids: 4.8

    Bass: 8

    Gain: 10

Remember to crank that volume knob up. Tube saturation is your friend. As the volume increases, your amp will sound better.

  • @AhsanU alright sweet man thanks... and if you could lead me in a good direction for an overdrive pedal that would be awesome

  • @MudstoneNJ You can never go wrong with the MXR GT-OD or an Ibanez TS.

  • Your tone is amazing! have you ever tried the ahb2 blackouts? if so how were they compared to these?

  • This is a good cover but idk if anybody noticed that its sped up. idk if you did it cuz of copyrights or whatever but there were some mistakes in this and i think its cuz of the speed you played it at.

  • @PhaN70iVi I tend to record songs at their live speed, which is why if there are a few errors, it's because I can't play as fast as them and clean at the same time. But there's only one part where I messed up I think, and it's when I played the B chord like around at 1:16. The chord's extended notes were mixed up.

  • How much you pay razorback v skulls?

  • Next time i suggest you to cut some 12-16KHz to reduce that buzzing. And lower your bass on amp for 1. Everything else rules :)))

  • Wait why did you sell the Black Gold Ml?

  • >.>

do you have a tab for this

it'd be even better if it was a power tab

but yeah, GREAT JOB!!! this should totally have more views, im gonna spam it everywhere now

  • Dude, I want your Guitars! Another amazing cover! You're awesome :)

  • omg ..... this cover is purely awsome....... loving your dean guitars they look stunning! stay metal \m/

  • Sooo frickin sick... I thought I played this song well. Excellent job brutha.

  • nice cover man, so fast.

ah... by te way, nice guitars.

soon i hope, im gonna upload a trivium cover too. seeya man.

    keep roocking.

  • wow your dean guitars are awesome

  • nc covers man..5/5...i'm a trivium fan too...check my videos..i hope u lyk it

  • Helll yeah, it sounds amazing. Especially with the Blackouts installed, they sound great.

  • Yeah man, I'm kinda regretting selling the Dean ML in this video. I really do miss it. I'll end up buying a USA ML one day, I really really miss mine.

  • your hands so swoll

  • Er, what do you mean by swoll? lol.

  • fucking muscular.

  • Which dime razorback do you have on the wall?

  • Hey dude which pick ups do you have on both guitars? Btw nice cover, sounds awesome. Keep rockin

  • I have/had Seymour Duncan Blackouts installed on both of the guitars in this video. I no longer own the Dean ML.

One of the Razorbacks is a USA Razorback V with Skulls, another one is a regular Razorback painted to look like the V.

  • hoooooly tits im a suscriber ok that was just like

  • man dude your fucking good! this cover is by far the best i've seen keep it up oh and where did you get that trivium shirt at??? please tell me!?!?!

  • Thanks.

The Trivium shirt came with the Shogun album. I pre-ordered it and got the shirt as well as a signed photo. All I did was just cut off the sleeves.

  • ^_^ stay metal bro u ripped! and convinced me to buy a bugera

  • Whoa, this dude is dedi-fucking-cated to Trivium. I like that! He has the same guitars Corey and Matt used in the video.

  • awesome guitars you must be loaded

  • i think we have a hardcore trivium fan here!

  • what amp are u use???

  • Bugera 6262 head with a Bugera cabinet. Recorded with a Shure SM57 microphone.

  • you pickups in the black gold ml look different, i've been watching videos as i've been thinking of buying this for metal songs, i'm wondering

whats it like on other trivium ones and full metal not just speed? yet also hard rock like escape the fate or blessthefall?

  • Different how? But a Dean ML can play metal with the right pickups.

The pickups are amazing. I have them on 4 of the 5 guitars I own. They do metal very well. With hard rock, you have to dial in your amplifier differently in order to get the tone you're looking for. Blackouts are high gain, high treble, boosted mids and lows pickups. They're mainly designed for metal.

  • all the dean ml black gold, the pickups are gold yet your's are black no idea, haha, i like the sound of it so far though sounds good

  • These aren't the stock pickups that come with the Dean Black Gold ML. The Black Gold ML you see here was modified quite a lot. A Floyd Rose tremolo was installed, it originally comes with a Tune-O-Matic bridge, had to route the guitar for the bridge. Also, Seymour Duncan Blackouts were installed as well. The stock pickups are trash, and don't sound good at all. Blackouts are amazing pickups for metal.

  • yeah i was looking at that, it's awesome i defiantly think i'll be doing that, thanks :)

  • To The Rats in Duel Cover form? Please?

  • In due time, I probably will. To The Rats is on the to-do list, but not as high as a few other Trivium songs.

I'm currently working on a few Metallica covers, to broaden my list of viewers. Currently, all I have are BFMV and Trivium subscribers.

  • oh and how long do i need to practise before i can start playing trivium songs like that xD?? i've been playing for about a year and a half, can do the rhythm easy, but the solos, not even gna attempt it.. any tips on how i can speed up my left hand but also improve on accuracy?

  • Playing Trivium songs correctly and up to speed requires a lot of practice.

I increased my right hand accuracy and left hand speed the way everyone else does. I play certain licks that I find difficult slowly. The breakdown riff before the solo is a great way of improving alternate picking. Like Light To Flies helps down picking, Suffocating Sight will increase your triplet speed, etc.

Find a song you think is difficult, and just play it slowly. That's about all I can help you with.

  • awsome cover, not so keep on the blackout though, like the dimebucker more

  • Ran through my tube amp, the Dimebucker sounds really thin. It's good for hard rock but not good enough for my metal needs.

  • nice dean guitars chain

  • abosultly amazing dude

  • I think you just helped me decided what new gear to get :)

    Amazing tone, and awesome guitars.

    Also, are those pups blackouts?

  • Thanks, and yes - those are Seymour Duncan Blackouts.

  • @AhsanU Awesome, thanks!

  • It's a shame Colombian girls don't =[

  • Comment removed

  • Mrsparkles is a good friend of mine in real life. He knows I'm a huge Trivium fan and he says that just to mess with me, Don't take anything he says to heart =P

  • Awesome playing and video qualitiy o.o

    And awesome guitars :`D

  • the quality of this video is awesome

what do you use for a camera??

  • Hey, sorry I never replied to this! But I use a Logitech Orbit AF webcam. It's pretty damn good, and coupled with Sony Vegas Platinum 9, you can get this exact same video quality.

  • Are you playing the songs sped because you want to practice it like that or to avoid that WMG takes it down?

  • I mainly practice it like that. Playing Trivium songs sped up really helps my picking speed. Getting around WMG is just an added bonus haha.

  • is it just me or does it sound slightly sped up?

  • Yep, song was played/recorded sped up. Which is why it isn't super clean in the break down riff.

  • thought so but on another

    note excellent cover man 5*

  • awesome dude! :D

  • why doesnthe deserve any of those guitars?

  • i cant find the tab for this do u know where to go

  • Well, most tabs out there use the tabs that Guitar World made. Unfortunately, those tabs are fairly wrong in some sections. Search "entrance of the conflagration lesson" on youtube, you'll find Matt and Corey going over every riff. See if you can figure out where their hands are and such. I didn't use any tabs for this song, so I can't really direct you to a good tab.

  • Sounds good but too MUCH metal round here.

  • Er.. thanks but.. too much metal? I don't understand lol.

  • I think maybe what he means is, the shear amount of metal that radiates from your channel is more than the poor common soul can handle. Without natural 'hardcore' that some only acquire through genetics and rigorous listening, their ears bleed, necks snap, and appendages simply fall off. Maybe you should put up a disclaimer letting the non-metal folk know how you roll or something b4 you let the first riff fly and suck them into their own doom....just a thought tho

  • That's lovely! I actually lol'd whilst reading that.

  • Oh GET your hand off it! You are partly right. I meant in general. I love watching gear demos, BUT too many are OVER represented BY metal players. Esp all this modern metal, a lot of it is not listenable. Without actual singing its just NOISE! No matter HOW technically good all the musos can play.

I mean i want to see DIFFERENT styles represented on these amps etc, so we can see/hear HOW they respond to DIFFERENT styles of playing & the sounds produced.

    Genetics aside, I'm a 26 year veteran.

  • I'm rather confused.

This isn't a gear review. This is a cover of a metal song. What did you expect? lol. And for the record, this song has absolutely no screaming. Just singing pushed a little harder. But you can't hear it because I drowned it out with my guitar playing.

  • Also, the guitars I own have active pickups in them. So sure, I can play AC/DC or some GnR, but it'd sound terrible! I'm mainly a metal player, which is why I have high output pickups.

And as far as my amp goes, it's very versatile. But again, I mainly play metal. If I want to play some Ozzy, I'd switch to the crunch channel. Or if I'm feeling bluesy, I use the clean channel. Unfortunately, I don't have any videos of those channels because there are many out there already.

  • Yeah thats cool. I'm a Bugera fan.

Can be very versatile IF set up right!

  • Zakk plays on EMGs and he can play ACDC and guns'n'roses. i think it depends on amp and pedals. cool cover, man!

  • He can, doesn't mean it sounds good. I can play Hells Bells all day through my Dean guitars, but it'll sound dreadful because there's too much gain running through my pickups.

  • it's sound perfect man i like the sweetshirt

  • Brings back some good memories :) really tight cover well done.

  • jackson king v?

  • Yeap, KV2.

  • sexy! what finish you gettin it in? im still sad to see the ml go... haha

  • Skull Pile. But, I'm getting it painted around January. It's going to look fucking sick.

  • arh dude, so lookin forward to seeing it haha, dont suppose next cover could be 44 minutes by Megadeth

  • what USA geet you gettin man?

  • Hehe, let's just say.. it's the same guitar Corey plays on stage =D

  • just awsome

  • Awesome man ^_^

One of the best covers of this song that I've seen.

    Keep rockin!

  • awesome dude

    what tuning?

  • E Standard 440 tuning.

  • I've seen a few vids of yours and though you're a good player the sound you are getting out of 6262 is waaaaay to fizzy. I guess you are dialing too much gain. It sounds so compressed, small and solid state, just like a hive of bees... And I know that 6262 is a great sounding amp. Compare your sound, lets say with sound dingle1 is getting out of this amp and you'll know what I am talking about.

  • Well, dingle1 records with his digital camera. The audio you hear here is from a Shure SM57 microphone ran through a rather cheap audio interface. It's obviously not going to sound great, because I haven't invested too much into it.

  • dude.. awesome! thanks bro

  • I LOVE IT! RBV for Corey & ML for Heafy! Too sick!

Your picking is flawless...this must've taken AGES to get right! Also the amp sounds killer, I ordered my Bugera 6262-212 on thursday so it should arrive on monday or something =D

I look forward to some Metallica & Megadeth!

MMM Of Wolf & Man :D

  • Congrats man! And really, this song took around 5 hours of recording to do. I just kept spacing it out because I never had more than an hour a day to play guitar. So I mostly spent it playing and not recording.

  • I love the cover but i'm waaay jelous of ur gear!!

I need to get me a job so i can build up a collection lol

    5* =D

  • Dude don't get rid of your ML. Each guitar you own has a story lol...

  • Yeah, I really really really don't want to.. I got that Dean ML the day Shogun came out. But I'm getting a USA made guitar out of the deal. So I think it's worth it.

  • Wow awesome cover man!

    Flawless

    5*

  • awsome!!!

  • this is possibly the best cover of this song that will ever be created.

  • WOOO i got first rating :p obv worth 5 star, amazing shit going on here

  • Very nice, sweet cover

  • 1st comment, sorry i never get to do that, especially on a video this good. awesome tone/

  • Lol, thanks! Check it out again once the video's done completely processing.
