  • It's not as scary than the real soundtrack, but it's still pretty scary.

  • Each times I watch this scene, it scares the shit out of me.

Just too bad for the missing sound and the impossibility to get subtitles.

  • The makeup job on the monster is incredible. Combined with the fear that Dan feels when seeing or talking about the creature, the face of the monster is utterly disturbing. David Lynch is a mastermind

  • Hey look its Mickey Cohen!

  • its scary at night now this morning i'm giggling but at night ill be back to watching under my covers with the light on & sound off ,i'm trying to scare myself anyone got any good creepy/scary video sugestions ?

  • @curlypierre

    Marble Hornets.

  • this made me jump sorry. i thought the face would be an ordinary one-a killer mayber, but not demonic

  • best scene in the movie

  • Am I the only one not scared by this?

  • @Hazarcl

As a general rule for any question of this ilk, unless you are Wilt Chamberlain asking "Am I the only person to score 100 points in an NBA game?", no, you are not the only one.

  • question, what is the monster supposed to represent? i know he plays a key role in the film, obviously, but other then that im not sure :/

  • @hellchild65 *spoiler*

The monster is supposed to represent the dark side of Diana, the side that wanted Camilla dead. Dan was the person who saw the hitman give Diane the key, and he unfortuanlly is the person that has to be sacrificed in order to show us that something is going on behind the diner. I belive it is there that the key was placed after the hitman killed Camilla

  • @MrDanish6066

"I belive it is there that the key was placed after the hitman killed Camilla."

What do you mean exactly? You think that the hitman placed the key behind the wall back of the store? I don't know if my english is

"I belive it is there that the key was placed after the hitman killed Camilla."

What do you mean exactly? You think that the hitman placed the key behind the wall back of the store? I don't know if my english is good. And this movie is my absolute favorite.

  • I repeated like 20 times just the 4:25 and each single time scared me the same as the first time, i know it's going to appear there, but the speed and the music just scare the shit out of me every single time.

  • I hate this scene so goddamn much fuck

  • lol the sound you have added is sooooo creepy

  • Seriously...don't watch this movie stoned :D

  • hahahahahahahahaha, to me I just think of this as the scary dude going "PEE KABOO......your dead lol"

  • wow really?

  • who is the monster actor?

  • WTH!!! With original sound please....no offense but Lynch does KNOW what he is doing you know...if he had wanted the scene like this HE would have made it like this! He didn't..and neither do we.

  • @weirdcitykid I'm going to assume that you haven't read the many other comments on why the original sound is missing, namely it was for a music composition project. The original video & audio you so impatiently demand was blocked by YouTube for copyright reasons. If you want to do it yourself and have your account deleted then be my guest. Finally, I'm not sure Lynch did "know what he was doing". Watch his interview on the DVD. He freely admits of having many unresolved storylines whilst filming

  • @gdmuse84 Many thumbs up.

  • @Elcore Thanks :)

  • @gdmuse84 hahaha nice comeback mate.. smackdown!!

  • @gdmuse84 Dave Lynch is an idiot, and so is Youtube for their damn copyright nonsense

  • @younghippo please see the other remarks, this video was submitted for a music project which required new composition. in any case had the original audio been left on it would most likely have been pulled by now.

  • please leave the original audio up, i think david lynch knows what hes doing

  • Take it from a guy who watches horror films religiously, this scene is the scariest thing i've ever seen.

  • they really don't make film like this too often, what a treat when so..

Flawless piece of film making, a bit of an inside joke this scene I think

  • who is the actor describing his dream?

  • I can not believe how David Lynch can make me so scared of a harmless situation like this

  • This isn't really scary to me. I know that the guy will pop up. What would really be scary is if his fear killed him before he could ever see if the person was real, and if it was actually real, then it would be cool if the guy went around the corner and saw a bum running away. I think that even though Lynch is good and all, I could have made this scene a lot scarier for me, because revealing the face doesn't let your imagination take over.

  • scary!

  • i scream when i see that ugly thing! i dont know what it is but lol

  • Scares the shit out of me every time. Greatest scene ever!

  • thanks to backslash567, I had trouble uploading this as youtube spotted the visual copyright

  • Can you please post this with the original sound?

  • i know, that's why there should at least be captions... i think it would be creepier than the original to keep the voices out but add captions... like reading a scary story with scary music in the background =)

  • aw at least put the captions

  • I'd love to, but sadly this edit has no dialogue - it was a project for my MA to try and articulate this character's unease without the use of any speech. Thanks for watching :)
