Pretty good setup. I am new to Wind Generators and i built couple of solar panels on my own earlier. But i was disappointed by power output. Btw where did you bought your solar cells and what type of cells are they?. And what type of cell encapsulation method that you used?.Btw did any body thought about instead of wasting energy by dumping using resistors can it will be possible to send it to a grid tie inverter?.
@ThinkGreen1976 My solar panels put out a lot of power when batteries are low. When they are charged I see little amperage on the meter. My next batch of panels will be encapsulated with resin. I did not learn that trick until I was done with them of course. I do not make enough power yet to justify grid tie converter.
@ripadisc Yes. They are all connected to a ground when the switch is on. I removed the brakes when I built my solar panels as I did not want to ground them out. (They are on the same circuit).
@anthonyhussein I had to email several different people and companies to find out how to do this. That is why I made a video to save people the headaches I went through. I have an updated version of this video too. If you watch it and pause where needed you can make some notes and if you get stuck send me a message and I will try to help.
@anthonyhussein Sorry for the late response. Just saw your comment. I would suggest playing and pausing to write down what you see. Please see the updated version of this video as I have removed several items and added a potentiometer. (That is a must for maximum power storage
@zombiekiller50001 I'm just getting into this stuff. you can download "Windpower for dummies" on piratebay(dot) org or if you like I can email it to you. Hope that helps.
hi,all looks realy good, can you explain how it works,i will make one wind turbine from dc motor (2 KW-200 V-DC) and need controller,I am using sollar panel(85 W) for boat bateries and turbine will be for the house power plant.I will use much of clean energy as posible. My e mail is o.cendo@gmail.com
@bizzyblox There are many videos on YT showing how to do it. I did Earth for energy's method basically. When you are done with the panel(s), come back and watch my video on wiring no one talks about. Hope this helps.
Your home wind generator can help you to lower or eliminate your home electric bill. Home wind generators are a great way to save money by lowering your use of grid supplied energy.
I am about to make a set up like this, but I am going to make it so I can pull it fast, to take it to my secondary bugin local. I am looking at a small wind generator and solar panels. I am mechanical, but hate electrical. :) "Nothing but to do it", I guess. Nice clean install.
I do not know how long it will take to pay it back. We expect a significant rate hike sometime soon here, so that would shorten the time. I also did it all myself so that saved me a bundle. I am in my entire wind/ panel system including batteries at under $600. When I am all done I expect to have invested another $500 and I will also make my own solar panels. So you tell me?
Dude that looks aranged like mine. Coleman, same breaker, golf cart 6v's,etc. Even got the same cord coming into the rectifier. LOL. Have auto relays right now but will be buying one of those 440's. Looks great! Where ya gettin all your parts from? Keep us posted.-Nate

@zombiekiller50001 There are many unanswered questions here. How big is your generator? AC or DC? Do you have a grid tie inverter?

Neat wiring, clearly marked and functioning. Love it. Congrats!
Oh! I'll take Christina - she powers my batteries.
