@Bockadilla Actually the genesis one came first and was much better imo, this version has some cool levels like this one but overall the original was better.

Yeah i got my master system out recently and played this, got to this boss and had no problems with it but then commit suicide about 10 times by walking off that vine, stupid sonic wouldn't jump the idiot!

Christ I remember being stuck on the boss of this level for most of my Master System playing life. Remember sitting in my brothers flat when I was about 6 with about 5 mates around cheering me on when I actually go to the boss, never mind actually landed a hit on him!

@Billaargh I used to get to the end of this of this level and face robotnik and try again and again until i had one life left, then i waited for my big brother to get back and do it for me. Paused the game for like 2 hours, but sometimes when i got back to it .... it froze :P It's funny coz when i play it now its sooo easy hahah

You have a secret life in every act including the boss acts. In act 3 go in to the water in 5:33 to find the ilfe.

The first video game I ever played. I was 6 years old... now I'm 27 and I still play Sonic games. I loved this game. Played it hundreds of times. And every time, I lost plenty of lives at the Jungle Zone's boss :-). Sonic games are cool... if they're a 2D sidescroller.

they shud merge the master system and megadrive games into a super game, with a triple plot line... combine the zones that are duplicated, so you have more acts, use teh smaller ones as brigding levels in best order can manage. and polish graphics to at least mache genisis/mega drive for all parts, would be awesome i mean youd end up with 100 acts or more,

The verticaly scrolling stage reminded me of the Waterfall stage in Contra. Too bad that they did not make any falling rock enemies, falling rocks, or included any of those wasp guys from the previous two zones in this game in this zone, though. Also, why could Sega not make a remixed version of this game and combine the elements of the Sega Genesis/MegaDrive and Sega Master System/Sega Game Gear versions of this game, too? I would love to have eight Zones as opposed to six of them only.
