Yeah, Iraqis don't celebrate Christmas so it's just another day to them, heh. God protect our troops over there though who can't be home with their families.
pansies like you make us look bad, Wish they would reinstate the draft that would change your tone in a heartbeat. cowardice is disgraceful and should be practiced behind closed doors.
If You arn't going to stand up for your country then hang your head in shame, hide in the corner and STFU.
If the misguided religious fanatics don't like dying then they should not try to fight a professional military. as long as there is a fight to be had we will take it to them and we will win eleven to one.
linasdog: And may God bless all the innocent Iraqi victims of both the terrorists and the U.S. troops. May God bless the Islamic people who are always in harms way.
It would be a nice video if this were 4 years ago. In case you haven't noticed the violence is DOWN because of a SUCCESSFUL troop surge. You are a mental midget, lefty liberal who wants to see our country go home in defeat so that we can have another 9/11 or worse. Why not make a video showing all the recent victories we have had and show all the Iraqi's who re going about normal lives now that their cities and towns are safe again.
the surge has solved nothing. Insurgents know we put more troops there so they are less likely to attack. Civil war is STILL raging throughout Iraq. the Surge has only slowed the attacks. What? are we just going to keep those troops there forever? I garuntee you, when we start pulling troops out, AND WE WILL, we will see an increase in attaks. There can be no peace in that region. there will always be killing.
violence is down from LAST YEAR. It is still 3 times what it was _when I was there_. HAve you served a tour yet? No, I didnt think so. Only cowards hide behind rhetoric like this: lefty liberal who wants to see our country go home in defeat so that we can have another 9/11 or worse.
But you probably have other "more important" stuff to do. Funny how its important enough for ME to go die, for MY friends to go die. But important enough for you to go die. Hmm.
pasto: I think the point here is that people are dying, on both sides, and that it needs to be stopped. Are you saying that you think it should continue so more people can die? I am sorry if you have lost someone you cared about in the war. But so have thousands of other people. We aren't allowed to feel sorry for them?
And as for "more important stuff", yeah, this is. Standing up for peaceful change in the world is always important.
tomv: Before you go around calling other people mental midgets, perhaps you should look in the mirror.
It is a well known and undisputed fact that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The war in Iraq is doing nothing to stop terrorism. In fact, since the U.S. meddling in the Middle East, sticking it's nose in where it's not welcome, was the cause of the first attack, then the war can only increase your risk.
Christmas is about giving, being with ones you love, and rejoicing. How about we follow the words of the man who was born on Christmas day.
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" "Love your enemies!" "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God"
So, while Iraqis may not be spending Christmas opening gifts or waiting for Santa they will be living in the midst of a war. I'll be praying for peace and an end to this war this Christmas.
Methinks you missed the point. We might ask why Christians celebrate murder and mayhem. A wonderfully iconoclastic piece, this smacks one cheek with blasphemy and the other with sanctity. How else do you expect to get an American's attention?
war is legal murder- but THEY want us FIGHTING AMONST ourselves don't they. missionariesvs American troops? never
