  • I wish there was a way to watch this performance without the commentary. Would love for there to be a way that someone could make a separate video for this performance that did just that. This is a performance that sooooo deserves to be watched by all without the annoying commentary from announcers.

  • This performance seethes with a cultural patrimony in music, ballet and sheer interpretive excellence that cannot be matched.

  • The most beautiful, interpretive piece of skating of all time.

  • Just Beautiful. Very Dreamy. I guess that music is named the Dream of Love.

WOW!! It gave me the chills also.

  • @wegersfour It was the most memorable pairs program for me of all-time. Chills here as well, 21 years later.

  • I was wondering if this was on YouTube and I am so grateful to see it is. I remember this dearly from first viewing them at the 1992 Olympics. What a performance of sheer beauty. The costumes, the choreography, the music....everything. Perfect.

  • Who was the choreographer? As many times I go back to this vid for pure enjoyment, I have never known whose idea this was. Whoever this was, whatever else this person did in life, this was STELLAR.

  • @ja3399 I think Tamara Moskvina along with ideas from Artur and of course from Natalia. Artur had a male coach to teach him how to look graceful yet powerful and also to help him positions lifts correctly. And don't forget; the Protopopov's did this in 1962, when Tamara's [future] husband -Igor Moskvin- was THEIR coach. Cheers. ;-)

  • OMG, thanks for posting. This is my favorite LP of any pairs ever.

The costume, the music, the program -- everything was so, so beautiful. Natalia looked so beautiful. I miss her and M&D.

  • @Damika82 This performance of M&D's was topped only by the performance at the 1992 Olympics with the same music and nearly identical costuming.

I agree this was my favorite pairs LP of all time. I don't know if any other pair could ever do justice to this music the way M&D did.

  • Also my favorite pairs long program of all time...even though I am from Canada and was hoping to see Brasseur and Eisler take the gold that year.

  • She is SO beautiful she would look great in any costume. They were so WELL MATCHED together. Miss them dreadfully.

Miss all of Moskvina's pairs but miss this pair of M&D most of all. Natalia and Artur WERE true equals. I never felt that way @ Oksana and Artur though I liked them. But face it: These 2 grew up together and continued to grow in their skating. And Natasha is very easy on the eyes. She had a winsome quality and steely strength about her that help make their pair a winning one.

  • @libralady1010 Well Artur as a skater had declined by the time was with Kazahkova so in a way they were also equals, just much lesser ones than Natalia and Artur of 90-94 had been.

  • the commentary is interesting though, particularly on the comparison between this and B&E's LP. m&d were described as "elegant and beautiful" whereas b&e were described as "powerful and dynamic". when g&g and m&d competed in 94, it was the former described as "elegant and beautiful" whereas m&d were given the latter description. i think m&d were described such in 91 coz of the classical look natalia had then, and the softer music than the ones they did later on.

  • natalia's costume is so gorgeous here. i think this is her most beautiful costume ever

  • Hi zilam98-yes, Natalia's costume is gorgeous. Airy and flowing and dreamy, perfect for their music, "Dream of Love." This lp is my favorite pairs lp of all time. I'm so glad these skating videos are available here.
