@ezskanken I would ask yourself if your ready to put money into a vr4. They are a high maintenance car. Being the 3rd owner of one, I spent well over 15k to keep in safely on the road. Tires, tranny work, turbo and timing, electronics, its got more Sharp edges then a swiss army knife.

500 is an amazing buy. even in that condition. here n AR 94+ Vr4s range from 8-16gs normally. i want to get a spyder so bad but der so freaking hard to find at a good price

I just read another post earlier where people were bashing the hell out of 3s's because they're stupid and don't know how to work on them.
@mbudd85 i know wat a downpipe is, thats not the issue. since i have to explain myself on youtube ill give the whoole stroy, who knbows maybe some one else had the same issue... so the car doesnt start, the relays click and go off but the signal never hits the starter, engine turns and runs once in a while. the flex pipe somewhere in the exhaust is rusted out, i believe thats somewhere near the downpipes. i have not found the piece yet bc it will run wothout it, the not starting is my big issue
@GIjoemomma002 Sounds like a grounding problem or ECU. I would check for a loose ground first though. If not then its possible its leaky caps, they play some cruel tricks once in awhile.
thank you for the advice. ive read it on 3si and other 3k community sites. the problem is that i just dont know whats better, to replace the caps, or put in a new ecu. im worried the leaky caps ruined m ecu, if that is the issue
@GIjoemomma002 3sx has a cap set for 10 bucks. Give it a try after you've checked your grounds. I got a set for the first stealth it was a sohc auto, the auto's seem to have more problems with the caps then the manuals but it fixed a lot of the little weird things for it. Good luck.

@motoxracer1551 I bought my 1993 VR4 from the original owner, who was a 50 year old doctor. I paid 12k for it back in 2005 when it had just under 100k miles and its worked perfectly for me ever since.

Yeah it is a rocket...I love em still. I own a 94 with 99,000 miles. I had a 96 also, I sold it at 180,000 miles I think, I bought it with 28,000 miles. Beautiful cars.
Don't convert an SL to TT, too much power for front wheel drive. If you want to do it, go for it, but it won't have a chance against a real VR-4. You're better off buying a VR-4

MR means Mitsubishi Racing..
theres 3 diff spec of 3rd gen. the first was Mitsubishi GTO MR (MKI) then (MKII) and then the latest is the Mitsubishi GTO MR (MKIII)
