  • how long does it takes to learn??

  • Instruction kinda starts at 2.51...nice guy but has a hard time getting to the point.

  • Great video! just starting to learn 4 and 5 balls at the same time, against your advise haha, i have pretty much taken three balls as far as i am willing for now and they are starting to get boring so on to the four, which i am having more trouble with then five because of the change in rythm. I was wondering and if there are any jugglers out there who know, is it possible to cross over four balls?

  • Good stuff.

    Thank you.

  • Hi! I have a request for you:

Please don't begin every each one of your videos by saying "Hi! I've had quite a few requests on..."

  • Comment removed

  • I have been juggling 3 balls for a while and never really wanted to progress, but in the last couple of months i wanted to improve, after going through a few youtube videos i really couldn't get it .Then i found yours and it really helped me, i'm now doing 5 balls for a minute at a time before i drop them.

You're a great help, thank you.

  • hi i can juggle 4 Symmetrically but not asymmetrically and just cant seem to get it, any tips please i would really appreciate it thank you in anticipation

  • dude, that "russian" tip you gave (putting your hands forward) just helped me a great deal... i owe you my juggling life!!!!!!!!!!

  • Little advice, shut up

  • i like you

  • having lots of troubles of first day of juggling five. i've gotten 4 down pretty well (2 weeks) but 5 is so complicated. i can't tell if the balls are even crossing the rite paths. anyway, check out some of my vids if you'd lyk

  • I disagree about learning 4 first. The 4 ball shower has completely different throws than the cascade and it totally wrecked my progress in learning 5 ball.

  • when i go for more throws than a catch the balls always hit each other, any tips??

  • Thanks Chris for this amazing video! Always looking for great pointers when learning to juggle more props.

  • my problem with 4 balls is my left throws lower than my right so the whole time im trying to continually ballance out the 2. but im decent at 5 now.

  • I like the "keep it in 2 dimensional" advice. And I think that is the hard part. Wish you could make a tutorial about "How to throw balls so it keep in 2D":).

  • are those Gballz?

  • How many balls can you juggle confortebly?

  • Very nice juggling :)

Whats the name of your balls

  • Very helpful video- where did you get the beanbags?

  • Sorry my last comment was riddled with mistakes i was eating lasagna :D

Anyways i meant it's probably better to learn 5 before 4, however if you do not have the muscles and co-ordination down before you start 5, 4's the way to go. But one last point is that 4 ball tricks aren't very impressive (except 4 columns i guess). Just mho :)

    Ciao :D

  • try sprung cascade...

  • Excellent video. But i must add, it's actually proven to juggle 5 before 4 as the way we juggle is through muscle memory, is it not? So learning 4 makes you first break your cascade from 3 into a fountain in 4 and then break it off again for a cascade?

SImply flashing 5 until you get it will prepare you enough no?

  • Wow thanks for all the work you've put into these tutorials. Can hardly imagine how many people you've helped

  • Very kind comment. You make great stuff. I've mentioned your products in many a vid.

  • I almost believed you when you said that one should learn to juggle 4 balls before juggling 5 balls. Almost.

  • I can throw one ball up and catch it, but when i throw 2 up i can barely catch either of them.

  • i can get about 200+ catches stable with 4 balls ive started on 5 balls and can get about 15 catches did i go too fast and jump to 5 balls too quick?

  • I don't think so--I moved up to 5 after I could only do 4 for about 60 catches. I guess even-numbered patterns just don't work for me.

  • Thanks. Great instruction video.

  • thank u i hope to get at least 1 or 2 vids in on my juggling i am just a beginer thou thanks

  • russian type balls-plastic pit balls filled with sand, are awesome, the bestway pitballs dont crack as easily either just have them remove the logos-sam

  • Thanks for the tutorial CT! You helped me a ton when I was first learning five ball. I put a video up on my page, would you mind watching it and seeing if you have any pointers? It would be great if you would. Thanks!

    -Tony

  • THANK YOU!! This has really helped I have been going for 2 weeks and I have qualified 5 balls! once

  • where did you get those juggling balls?

  • They look like Sport Juggling Company balls. Google it.

  • Exactly. 2.75"

  • DominikLuger is correct.

  • Amazing video! Helped me a lot!

  • How much time did you need to be able to juggle 5 balls?

  • It was really helpful for me, thanks very much. You could see the result in my video:)

  • dude i just did 59 catches with five balls, my previous record was 38. i aplied that pyramid thing, did 10 sets of the flash etc. then suddenly this. thank you very much your pointers are much appreciated.

  • you help me so much!

    thank,thank ,thank

i do 5 ball flesh and you help me sooooo much

  • thank you for this video! i was worried about the size i thought they were to big! my brother rolf (zxq12) gave me instructions but i couldnt understand so he just said "just do it!"

  • one thing i like to do when im practicing 5 ball flash is put 3 purple balls (can be any color) in my right hand and then 2 blue ones (againg doesnt hav to be that color) in my left and then try to flash and see if the 3 purples are in my left hand, and the 2 blue ones are in my right. and that helps me a little bit.

  • Cool idea!

  • im using racquet balls to try to learn 5 balls right now. its hard because they bounce out of your hand. where do you get the balls you have in this video. and what size do i need. i have fairly smaller hands than you(because im only 13).

    -thanks!

    Corey

  • check out my 5 ball cascade im always stopping on 40-50 catches cant get longer!

    any ideas

  • This is great! Gives me a much better idea of how to prepare myself for juggling five balls. Thank you.

  • Thank you soo much for all the great tutorials and videos!!

I can do 3 balls good, and some tricks as well...

should I go for 4 balls now, and when can i go for 5 balls??

And can you PLEASE make a tutorial on how to juggle 3 ball Mill's Mess?? Please reply!

  • If you can do 3 easily, yes, go for 4. Once you can do 4 balls comfortably (say, 60-80 catches) go for 5. As for the tutorial, I THINK there are already a couple of Mills Mess tuts out there. Search and let me know.

  • Hi I'm struggling to make any progress with 5. I've been working on it for about 9 months and my best is just over 80 catches. I practice for about 15-20 minutes a day. I always have issues with collisions, but if I try to make the pattern wider it goes out of control and I drop within 10 or so catches.

I practice continuous 3 ball flashes, 4 ball hold, 5551, 3 balls at 5 height, 50505 (but not so much), (4x,2x) at 5 height. Any hints?

  • HAve you tried going a little higher with the pattern? Could you tape yourself and post it? Then I can see....

  • Wow. I never looked at it this way. I always thought you could go from 3 balls to 5, as they have the same type of pattern. But I was proved wrong in this. 5 Stars.

  • Hmm I am doing 5b cascade and I can do about 30 catches max. It's annoying how little progress I am making...

    Any ideas?

  • How long have you been doing it? It DOES take a while....

  • Bout a month so far, I sometimes have problems with throwing the balls the same height on both sides, my left hand seem to throw slightly higher. This isn't always the case however when it is, I can't correct even if I make a conscious effort.

In terms of catches, is an average of 10+ with a maximum of 30 OK for a month's practice?

  • I think you just need more time with this. You're doing fine. It's not a quick thing. Practice 10 minutes a day without fail. That's the key.

  • Oh good, I do more than that anyway.

Few months later, maybe I'd have this pattern solid :D

  • hooray ive learned five balls its pretty solid and i could of never got it without running some four ball tricks ct im catching up

  • Excellent! Tape your 5b run. I'd love to see it, man!

  • Thank you and very nice video

  • Thanks!

  • what kind of balls are you using? i use tennis balls, and i think that might be my problem.

  • Agreed, tennis balls are too light. I use 3" sportjugglingco bean bags.

  • your name is Chris Fowler and so is mine, just wish i could juggle like you! i've just got my first set of juggling batons and your an inspiration to myself and everyone else who has watched your videos. Thank you for all your help, keep it up boss!

    cool name by the way!

    Chris Fowler (Scotland)

  • No, I am not Chris Fowler-- he's another guy, and a phenomenal juggler. My last name is Taibbi. Sorry.

  • agreed he is an amazing juggler

  • :crying: I can't do it. :,( I'm trying again i can't qualify no more i just got even worse at this if you see a video later on watch it's called 5 ball cascade or whatever and if you watch the video you see that i'm having extreme difficulty as the balls keep slipping outta my hands no matter what or they land out far ahead of me. i don't think i can stand this frustration. I don't think 4 is enough for me so i wanna do 5. help would be appreciated

  • i know with 5 balls only some second jugglling

  • OK Now i'm better at 5. I can flash like at least half the times and this past wednesday i qualified 5 meaning i juggled doing at least 10 consecutive catches. :)

  • Sweet!

  • i started working on 5 balls after i cud do four for hundreds of catches.... i suggest w8ing cuz it took me 6 months to do hundreds of catches with five

  • Just flashed 5 for the first few times. These videos have been so helpful. Thanks for making them!

At first, I really resisted practicing 4, but I can see now that I would never have flashed those 5 if I hadn't been practicing 4. Now I'm having fun with 4.

He is wise and speaks the truth. Thanks again for the great lessons.

  • Your words are kind. Thank you for endorsing what I've explained. I'm glad it helped.

  • this is a reply to "I guess that depends on your goal. If you HAVE to move around a lot to get the catches ...."

I'd like to be like to do five ball tricks, but i'd prefer not to relearn the five ball cascade. So coul you see 1:15 of my vid Me Juggling no.2 and tell me whether i should still relearn th cascade.

  • do u know how to do the slam i need some help

  • im 10 years old and i juggled at tc williams high scool on opening day i go to john addams elementry school i passed balls rings and now im on clubs

  • Awesome! Sounds great!

  • know i can do six and five balls

  • i can juggle 5 and 6 blls

  • I used to be able to do 10 throws in a five ball cascade quite clean. But now i can do it for longer (50 throws), but my hands and myself move around much more. Is that bad?

  • I guess that depends on your goal. If you HAVE to move around a lot to get the catches then you'll have a much harder time later on learning tricks with 5. I'd go back to working on the perfect throws idea... stop JUST as you start to move around.

  • I found that doing the flash of 3 balls and 4 balls while holding 5 balls in your hand realy help from just doing a 3 ball flash with holding 3 balls at the whole time.-

    Good Job Explaining

  • Thanks!

  • OK i don't do the flash too often i always go too fast. i don't know how to slow down.

  • Throw them a bit higher.

  • OMG I did the 5 ball flash. I also did 73 catches with 4.

  • make that 68 catches with 4.

  • Good news Chris. I did 48 consecutive catches with 4 ball fountain with no problems. Woohoo. Does that mean i'm ready to start drilling the 5 ball flash yet?

  • Sure. Give it a try and see what happens. If it falls apart and frustrates you, wait a while longer.

  • Are you from America?Well im from Ireland and your video kicks ass.See now you can tell all your juggly friends that i think youre cool. Its good for your ego

  • Awesome! It IS good for my ego, Jake.

  • Yes, by the way, I am from America.

  • NVM i'm better at 4 balls now i might as well go for the 5 ball flash.

  • Sorry double post i had posting problems

  • My only problem is i can't see that wide so i might not master it at all.

  • Do you have peripheral vision limitations?

  • My only problem is i really can't see that wide so i might not master the fountain at all.

  • If you want proof go to brian juggling pt. 3 or pt. 4 on youtube and there's your proof.

  • I hasve a feeling that the small balls won't work either as i still have trouble with 4 the only way i could do 20 catches + is if i'm lucky and i can't really do even 15 catches either i've been practicing 4 ball fountain for over 5 months and i still can't do it.

  • How many months did you practice 4 balls?

  • I'm not sure. A pretty good while I guess. Others say you should always practice flashing the next highest number, regardless of how well you juggle the previous number. Play around with what feels right. So, for example, if you can do 4 balls reasonably well, practice the 5b flash every once in a while. When 4 feels pretty solid, then start really drilling the 5.

  • OK so now i need to get the 2 inch balls off the net as i don't have any smaller juggling balls.:(

  • OK So Ur sayin once you can do 50 catches consecutive easily then you're ready to do even just the 5 ball flash?

  • Yeah, that sounds right.

  • By the way ct how many catches can you do with 4 coz the most i ever done with 4 was 32.

  • Consider juggling smaller balls... that may help. I think once you can easily do 50-ish catches with 4, you're ready to go on to 5. I've done a ton of work with 4 balls so the basic fountain pattern feels pretty natural at this point.

  • OK i have major problems with 5 and i even have some problems with 4. The balls keep slipping outta my hands and i can't fix this.

:( even with 4 the balls slip outta my hands after about 20 catches with 4.

  • this was really helpful i will come back to this when i get stuck.

  • Super. Glad you watched!

  • your welcome and also you were very detailed hope you make more great videos

  • These are the most helpful 5 ball juggling videos on youtube.

  • i had been working at 5 balls for 2 months, the most catches i gat was 7... then i watched ur video, tried five once, and got 21 catches.

  • been trying 5 for like a month ,had the flash and could do like 7ish and then yesterday decided to listen to you finally and use bigger balls now i can do 10 catches . Great tutorials thanks alot

  • Sweet. Nice work. Very nice work.

  • Lol... you are completely ignoring my comment below because you know its true: You CANNOT do 5 ball cascade. Fraud!!!

  • Sheesh.

  • great job! maybe a four ball tutorial or something soon?

  • Sure. I'll combine that with a 4 club one. Juggle Stein just did one on four balls that's pretty good, too.

  • I've just hit 100 catches, but watched anyway to see if I could pick up some further tips... interestingly, I've taken on board your comment about 4 and realised my fountain is attrocious! (I went from 3 to 5). So it's time to put down the 5 and practise good non-crossing throws for a while.

    Thanks for posting the video!

  • Awesome. Your progress all around with 5 balls will soar. You'll be able to learn tricks better and everything. Plus, trust me, you won't have to spend a TON of time on 4-- especially if you already got 100 catches of 5. Nice, by the way.

  • You know what's funny? No where in this video does it show you doing the 5 ball cascade. I have advice for YOU: Before you can give tips on juggling 5, learn to do it yourself.

  • You made me laugh. Thanks for that. Go and look at my other vids, particularly the "4 Ball Challenge."

  • thank you thank you thank you! This has really helped me out!

  • Super. I'm really glad it's helpful.

  • how long did it take you to get 100 catches with both hands? and how long to get 200?

  • Geez, that was a long time ago. I think after I committed to it, it took about... 4 or 5 months? I have a friend who's been working steadily at 5. I'll ask him this same question and get back to you.

  • sounds great! thanks :] oh, and yesterday I qualified 6 balls, woo!

  • Very, very cool - THANK YOU for making this!

  • Hey, man. I promise, your request for the 5551 is next. (Do you still want it? Even if not, I'll still probably go on and post it anyway. Ha.) I have it taped but I really felt I needed to go in order of requests. I'm slow, as I've been out of town much lately.

  • OK, no worries. YES! I definitely still want it if you can upload it. I have not been able to make any progress on 5551. THANK YOU in advance!!

  • You betcha.

  • Am I an experienced 5-ball juggler?

  • Hmmm... I think I'd say... yes? Ha ha.(How's that SEVEN ball cascade coming, by the way?)

  • 144 catches just four days ago actually

  • Let's see... that's about 20+ cycles. Yowza!

  • great!, really useful, thanks!

  • Thanks for that comment. Glad it's helpful.
