If it taxes to pay for millitary and courts then it is not stealing, but if it taxes to give money to its friends and banks and private individual billionaires then yes that is stealing. You seem to be implying that as long as the government taxes us then its not stealing, so what if john mccain or pelosi takes 1billion dollars of tax moeny and deposits it into their bank accounts? is that not stealing?

Geithner says it was authorized by Congress. She doesn't ask him, if in his opinion, Congress has the power to authorize that. He'd say yes and he'd be right. Instead she gives him a pop quiz, thereby demonstrating the Geithner doesn't have the Constitution memorized, and not much else. It's cheap grandstanding. Congress granted the authority to the Fed, so Congress needs to figure out its own Constitutional grounds for dong so.
