  • best rc car ever made love it want 1 soooo bad

  • 7:10 lol

  • Hey great vid! What's the best motor upgrade without going brushless? Cheers.

  • Hey you Sand Scorcher dudes,

I came across your great vid's and i would like to know where you got these nice alloy rims?! to put on my new Scorcher.

    Thank's Michael.

  • @motorbikel ebay

  • this a great video i world love to get one

  • can you take the gearbox apart if there is a problem

  • @joeblood111 yes u can 99.9% of real hobby grad RCs u can

  • dammit...watched this and went and bought ANOTHER ONE!...oh well never such thing as "too many" SS's Best RC pedigree ever. Have had them since I was a kid in the late 70's and they are nothing but a 10 on the fun meter. Not the fastest, not the most maneuverable, not the most scale, not the most affordable...BUT they are most certainly the most pure joy in a big boy toy you can pack into a day. Good job guys with the video, you're doing a good service to our friends at Tamiya. Spread the joy!

    Viele Grüße

    Helge

  • this is a very good video

    it looks just awsome

  • would one of these hold up to a 3600kv brushless on a 3 cell lipo?

  • Those are some sweet rides!

  • This is such a great video...every few weeks I watch it again.

  • Please Upload this fantastic video again in Hd resolution! ;) I love it.

  • Hello, i buy 2 tamiya 6.6v 1100 batteries but i dont found the battery charger for that type of battery. Please, what can i make? thanks a lot and sorry for my bad english

  • Loved watching every minute. Great camera work, editing and driving.

  • What batteries and motors are you all running?

  • Still the best Tamiya video on YouTube bar none...!!!

  • Definitely some awesome vintage Scorcher action here! Awesome! - Road Burner on TC

  • great vid. what do you do about sand getting into the pinions and gearing?

  • The Sand Scorcher gearbox is completely sealed, so no problem.

  • @mattrix2007 Im very shure that the are RUBBER SEALED

  • To be told this was made in Wales, to me was as awesome as the video itself! At first I assumed it was Arizona, but soon the antics of the cars and the ( I assume the driver!) people involved, made me decide it had to be from nearer to home!

  • Beautiful, competent cars, superb location (lovely powdery sand, no buildings to disrupt scale), well-thought-out videography and good editing; great video! This should be a lesson to us all. Has anyone else noticed that Tamiya owners produce some of the most imaginative rc car vids on You Tube? 5 stars from me!

  • WOW! I 2nd that. Awesome video! It gave me some great filming ideas.

  • What body has that red one got it looks so real.

  • @zishkabob

It's a modified Tamiya body. Monster beetle, blitzer beetle or sand scorcher.

  • In a lot of the shots they look like real cars. Only when you see sticks or grass can you see their actual size.

  • I just put my Sand Scorcher out for sale, seeing this video also gives me second thoughts. Old school tamiya's never Die !

  • Very entertaining and professional! 5* well earned!

  • 1. song is: Dominic Plaza - Sounds Rushing

searching for it cost me half a day!

it`s also here on youtube or "in search of sunrise 4 from tiesto"

btw:this vid one of my fav`s!keep it on!

  • DAM! This Video starts my RC-car -hobby again! Thanks for this!

  • lol....same here

  • 5:32 What A Save!!

  • NIce filming looks verry professional!!!

    Nice cars too.

  • this is the best sand scorcher video on you tube!

  • So I have downloaded 2 of the songs, but still cannot find out what the first song is in this video.

  • Exit - Vadim Zhukov

    Those pesky itunes Ads

  • the grapichs are so explicit, its amazing its really great good job it take a lot of footage to make 10 minute of pur intertainement !

  • Great vid.......this car is back out , i can get a new one at last.

  • i'm another one that bought a SS after i saw this video! i live near the beach in australia so it is perfect for me. anyone that wants one, or something similar, the rough rider has just been rereleased! this has same chassis as the sand scorcher, and a buggy shell (rere is called the "buggy champ") sand scorcher rerelease could be coming too....

  • Wow! Brilliant vid! Watching this and other vids is inspirational, I want a Sand Scorcher now!

    5/5

  • can someone explain to me what makes tamiya so great? im interested in old rc technology but all i know is tamiyas seem so different from other rc brands. they use alot of metal in their cars compared to the new stuff, i was wondering why? what batteries and motors do they run?

  • Comment removed

  • Since when i 've seen your video i ihave realized my dream!

Now i have my scorcher too.

    Thank!!!

    Very nice video!!

    : )

  • How did you get it? I want to get one too.

  • there are some on ebay, they are expensive but worth it :-)

  • When I think of Tamiya dune buggies this is what comes to mind. Excellent vid. Great paint jobs. A high speed camera would provide more "inbetween" frames for this type of filming.

  • good vid !

  • nice save at 5:40 :D

  • Outstanding vid...I'm also in the process of restoring my SS. What motor are you using? Did you convert to B/L? and if so how did you deal with the gears in the gearbox? Or did you modify to get a 540 to fit...? Great stuff.

  • thats an sweet vid dude! i just got myself a few old tamiyas, wild one, super champ and still looking for a sand scorcher. i made a little rc vid just of me and my bro, check it out if you have the time

    cheers

  • One of the bast RC videos I ve seen!

    Scale-Offroad-Blog

    don-pero de

  • Simply the best Scorcher vid on the net, imo! How much damage do the chassis sustain on average for a day on the beach like that.

Just restoring my SS for the shelf, but I will have to get a runner too, I think.

  • 5 Starz! awsome vid.

that jump at 2:17 was so rad!

and the bit 7:26 till 7:44 also

    Crossover at 9:42

  • i love my sand scorcher!!! whats the song?

  • Its nice to finally see a movie with some nice music instead of the other crap you keep hearing :)

Love the video, would love to go ride through the sand with my rc car but they say that its really bad with a nitro car, any tips if there are some ways to protect the car to go drive through the sand?

    Grtz

  • Great Video! I am restoring now my 2nd out of 3 I own. Hard work to restore, but if they are finished, You'll know why You did that job... :-)

  • Fantastic video! can you tell me the type of paint used on the green one, it looks amazing. I am building a sand scorcher replica right now!

  • Brilliant! Those cars cost a mint now, I'll probably never get to own one :(

  • Are they all original sand scorchers? I love the green one.

  • Yes they are all Sand Scorchers but they have been modified in a few places to make them stronger and ride the dunes better.

  • I still would really love to know the first song. Such a great video, I have watched it like 10 times in the past week. Keep going back, My dream RC car right there!

  • First track is Kyau vs. Albert - Falling Anywhere (Rework)

  • @FastAsFunk

    really?

    1. song is: Dominic Plaza - Sounds Rushing

  • @FastAsFunk

  • !!Great Video!!

  • have you thought about making a vid with an old school 4x4 buggy?

  • Great vid, where was this filmed at?

  • It's filmed at Shell Island in North Wales, UK.

  • What is the very first song?

  • First song is not External Key, that is the second. Can't remember the first I will look it up when I get time. Last one is Alt+F4...

  • Cool, thanks,

  • Wonderful video...........Gorgeous motion Sand Scrocher........^^

  • I have had a lot of people asking what the music is on this video, particularly the track that starts around 3m20s. The answer is External Key by the Audioholics. This particular version is the Gabriel and Dresden mix. Enjoy...

  • Thanks FastAsFunk !

I didn't read your answer anywhere. Thanks again guy !

  • Hey FastAsFunk,

What is the very first track on this vid? I don't recognize it as being External Key. Thanks.

  • Hey ! What's the title of the song heard @ the 3rd minutes 25 sec please ?

  • Legendary video that will go down in the annals of Tamiya movie history. Biased, me...?

  • El mejor video de RC que he visto nunca. Maravilloso! La musica perfecta! Muy relajante.

  • Carlsberg don't make RC car vids. But if they did........

Awesome. Best RC vid on You Tube. This is the RC version of the classic motorbike movie On Any Sunday. Total enjoyment from start to finish (well, 'til about 30 seconds from the finish enyway ;-))
