The Shredder from the first TMNT movie scared me when I saw that movie as a kid (I was 6). To this day he's my very favorite Shredder (aside of course from the Eastman & Laird version off of which movie Shredder is based - a menacing, Ninjutsu-trained murderer.

Okay, I love the original TV show Shredder too, but I love LAUGHING at him - Comic Book/1990 Film Shredder on the other hand I love being SCARED of! He's no joke, all business and runs his operation with cold-blooded precision.

It isn't weird for Utrom Shredder & Cyber Shredder to have the same voice, seeing how Cyber Shredder is a cybernetic clone of Utrom Shredder. The others... yeah. But you have to admit that his Shredder voice is awesome.

Demon Shredder imo is by far the best- he is without question the most powerful, able to wipe out entire cities with his blasts, and able to regenerate from holes being blown in him. 87 shredder is a joke...always was, even when I was a kid.

@darksayese I think it is. The stories are better. The newer series was meant to be more like the mirage comics and because of that, it has a much more serious tone than the other series. The characters are far more developed and there's a lot more emphasis on action. Some people like the older cartoon better because they feel that Ninja Turtles should be more of a comedy, but I disagree.

when i saw the second movie i was like okay now the shredder looks like a can opener because of the helmet but also i think they got the idea for the darker shredder in the TMNT 2003 from the second movie when he got infected with the ooze

@videogamester07 Seeing how TMNT could be considered TMNT4 (seeing Shredder helmet, time scepter etc) which forshadowed the Return of the Shredder by Karai at the end, it could be that he merely fainted in the 2nd movie.

After all, if NORMAL Shredder can survive being crushed in a garbage truck, then Super Shredder can most likely survive a collapsing dock.
