  • Or even 80's from the way the beginning sounded lol

  • Isn't this Junior's first win?

  • i miss nascar on CBS

  • @ManUntd24 he is now

  • @ManUntd24 Still occasionally runs to this day on a very limited schedule.

  • I was at that race! I was 9 years old. I remember that wreck and we were sitting just off that corner where they wrecked. Pissed me off when Gordon was involved

  • Jeff Gordon should use the rainbow colors at least one more time because he won 3 of his championships with that paint scheme and it just looks real cool =)

  • @dmhart67 maybe hell actually win using it

  • @ManUntd24 Bill Elliot ? They'll never get him out of there, he brought a sweet flow to nascar, he was in sunday's brickyard 400 july 2010 won by jamie mcmurray

  • man i remember watching this live o_O

  • Didn't Dale Jr. win this race?

  • @Sportsgamer92 Yeah, he won it! :D

  • @Longlakedreaming It's Bob Jenkins.

  • suck what happen to gordon..wrong place wrong time i guess what ever.

FOX IDC what u say is the best. BOOGITY! thats all i got to say

  • Yeah, but I was just comparing between the three today. ESPN sucks, now. They were probably really good back then, but definetly not now.

  • Jeff Gordon FTW.

  • LOL at 2:38 the one crew guy manhandled that camera man in the way of the infield opening.

  • lmfao, that stupid camera man was about to get rammed.

  • Damn, 2000?!

Looks like its from the 90's!

  • @pwnzor3000 but it also looks like the late 2000's without the COT

  • @2488nascarfan Huh?

I think im misreading the comment lol d:

  • @pwnzor3000 It's CBS...

  • @pwnzor3000 I think it's because production value was still quite low, before NASCAR became as mainstream as it is now.

  • that is some fucked up damage

  • Little did we know at this time it would take 9 full years before Gordon's curse at Texas would finally be avenged :]

  • Well hes won it at least.

    BIffle should have though.

  • poor Bill :(

  • I remember this when it was on. They kept saying "there was another car involved" and I was joking "It was probably Bill Elliott" and of course it was.

  • That's right. He won there in Nationwide back in '99 or '00. But Texas he's never won at at all

  • NASCAR on CBS needs to return especially with this theme.

  • Won't happen until at least 2015, and they'd have to unseat Fox due to potential conflicts with the NFL.

  • That's what sucks the worst.

  • Fox is the best out of NBC TNT ABC, but i never saw CBS race so i cant comment.

  • yea me either, but what i can say is that TNT and NBC coverage sucks!

  • ABC's pretty much espn, and I think they're the worst. I can't agree with you more on FOX, though. I love it when Mike Joy, Larry Mac, and DW are commentating the race.

  • Thats the only good thing about TNT is that they have Larry Mac.

  • He don't broadcast the race, though. TNT was better when they had BP.

  • Thats true.

  • i likw ally and i miss benny parsons

  • 2:38 watch one of the crew guys push a camera man out of the way haha

  • XD

    0wn3d

  • Texas Motor Speedway Does not like Jeff Gordon.

  • It's the only track in NASCAR SPrint Cup Gordon hasn't won at at all.

  • well it doest matter now he one at tms yesterday

  • i was watching that day i was screaming at my tv no!! jeff gordon wercked

  • A first Texas pole position for Gordon today! Go Jeff and end winless slump and win at Texas for first time. BTW pretty good improvement when they raced in spring and he crashed just before going 2 laps down.

  • gordon has never done well at fort worth

  • At about 2:40 as the 94 crew is pushing the car back to the garage the guy on the driver side of the car controlling the steering wheel that's my brother. He was car boss for Elliot in 2000 then when Evernham started his own team he became car boss for the 9 team of Bill Elliott and eventually Kasey Kahne.

  • yea right he says that all the time butt he dont retire

  • he should of won at teaxas but he hit the damn wall

  • Bitch

  • i swear to god i love that CBS theme song freakin awsome

  • no he never really did, he still does a partial Cup schedule

  • but Bill wil retire from part time at end of 2008

  • Yeah, Bill was scheduled to run 20 races this year for the Wood Brothers' #21 team.

  • i heard 15, but 20 is better

  • jackman ran to the wrong side of the car... haha

  • haha now that is funny

  • unbearable, simply unbearable. i'm gonna suffer HECK at school. unless he wins next week. ugh.. I want Letarte fired.

  • Letarte does not deserve to be fired! Sunday was simply a bad day for the entire team. They have always struggled at Texas Motor Speedway. He'll be back next week at Phoenix. Letarte and the entire team simply 'missed' it on Sunday. They'll get it figured out. You really don't understand how the sport works do you?

  • I do. I do. "missed" it, he LOST it. look, Evernham was great, and understood jeff, and would have got him through Texas- after various struggles. His next crew chief didn't do him justice, and Loomis was pretty good, since he got him through a couple good years, but Me and my Grandpa agree, Letarte isn't jeff's man. he just isn't. He sucked 2006, he hit something last year, "hit it" somehow, and now, Jeff is waisted with a crappy crew chief who can NEVER get his car satisfied.

  • this place is always cruel to jeff.... he almost conquered it last year... stupid wall.

  • So those Atlanta photo finishes are something to dislike?

  • Dale Jr.'s first Cup win.

  • the legacy continued here and 2004 at daytona

  • Maybe because the guy was going to get run over if he didn't move?

  • no kiddin

  • i loved CBS's race coverage

  • why, its a great track

  • At 0:56 the jackman got confuse on which way to go

  • Texas has never been Gordon's strong track

  • Oh, in that case yeah haha. The racing has gotten better there though. Should be a great race in November.

  • Actually someone was killed at the track, later that year in face (2000). Tony Roper crashed hard in the frontstretch in the October Truck Race at Texas and died shortly after his accident.

  • the biggest problem was that theres only one groove to race

  • The really amazing thing is that both Jeff and Bill finished the race.

  • Nextel is with Sprint now. It is not just Nextel anymore.

  • how many times has texas had a crash where one car was on top of another?

  • I've never figured out why Jeff's luck has Texas has always been so bad.

  • yeah. He had a great shot to win the race this year, then hit the wall and ended up finishing 4th. One of these days he will get a victory at Texas!

  • I was at that race! He had it won, but hit the wall. He'll definetly win one day at TMS! He's been close a few times.

  • note the race summary presented by NEXTEL

  • About four years before they became sponser of Cup

  • Now in 2008, It's going to be Nascar Sprint Cup series. Not NEXTEL anymore.

  • Lol at the crewman pushing the dumb cameraman out of the way!
