I was at that race! I was 9 years old. I remember that wreck and we were sitting just off that corner where they wrecked. Pissed me off when Gordon was involved
Jeff Gordon should use the rainbow colors at least one more time because he won 3 of his championships with that paint scheme and it just looks real cool =)
@ManUntd24 Bill Elliot ? They'll never get him out of there, he brought a sweet flow to nascar, he was in sunday's brickyard 400 july 2010 won by jamie mcmurray
I remember this when it was on. They kept saying "there was another car involved" and I was joking "It was probably Bill Elliott" and of course it was.
ABC's pretty much espn, and I think they're the worst. I can't agree with you more on FOX, though. I love it when Mike Joy, Larry Mac, and DW are commentating the race.
A first Texas pole position for Gordon today! Go Jeff and end winless slump and win at Texas for first time. BTW pretty good improvement when they raced in spring and he crashed just before going 2 laps down.
At about 2:40 as the 94 crew is pushing the car back to the garage the guy on the driver side of the car controlling the steering wheel that's my brother. He was car boss for Elliot in 2000 then when Evernham started his own team he became car boss for the 9 team of Bill Elliott and eventually Kasey Kahne.
Letarte does not deserve to be fired! Sunday was simply a bad day for the entire team. They have always struggled at Texas Motor Speedway. He'll be back next week at Phoenix. Letarte and the entire team simply 'missed' it on Sunday. They'll get it figured out. You really don't understand how the sport works do you?
I do. I do. "missed" it, he LOST it. look, Evernham was great, and understood jeff, and would have got him through Texas- after various struggles. His next crew chief didn't do him justice, and Loomis was pretty good, since he got him through a couple good years, but Me and my Grandpa agree, Letarte isn't jeff's man. he just isn't. He sucked 2006, he hit something last year, "hit it" somehow, and now, Jeff is waisted with a crappy crew chief who can NEVER get his car satisfied.
Actually someone was killed at the track, later that year in face (2000). Tony Roper crashed hard in the frontstretch in the October Truck Race at Texas and died shortly after his accident.
Or even 80's from the way the beginning sounded lol

@pwnzor3000 I think it's because production value was still quite low, before NASCAR became as mainstream as it is now.

NASCAR on CBS needs to return especially with this theme.
MIBFreakPack 3 years ago
Won't happen until at least 2015, and they'd have to unseat Fox due to potential conflicts with the NFL.
