  • How can I make this caramel in an specific color?

  • *drooling*

  • Thank you! :D

  • when she put all that sugar in the pan i swear my teeth craped them selves Oo

  • Can I replace the kosher salt with normal salt ?

  • 16 cooked popcorns disliked this video

  • I'm glad to find a caramel corn recipe that doesn't use corn syrup. I look forward to trying this recipe out, but I think I'll be adding some peanuts too.

Question for those who have already tried this recipe, how and for how long should it be stored if made in advance?

  • Caramel popcorn is really disgusting, and I know you might think i crazy, but I'm from sweden, and we have salt on our popcorns

  • @ellenlob lol.I put sugar on mine, but in America we have alot of variety in choices of what we want in/on our food.

  • Just made it. The caramel tastes a little like peanut brittle in consistency. I would suggest not letting it brown as long as she has it and add maybe a teaspoon of vanilla and an extra tablespoon of butter. Over all, excellent recipe and very, VERY easy to follow instructions.

    Thank you for your video

  • Im eating caramel popcorn while watching this

  • really great video! I will give this one a go but with added nuts then drizzle on some chocolate at the end.

  • It's pronounced carmel. Not caromel

  • @2hatelibs1 We know its pronounced carmel on NOT caromel ,but people from different place might mispronounce it maybe it's not even where you come from it might be how you were bought up to say.that's all.

  • @TheKankertiefes no its actually they eat fat, ie bacon, after they cook bacon, they use the left over fat to make gravy, then drink it, same for turkey, and for things that does not contain fat, they drink 2 cups of fat from a cow to make up for it, true story

  • who eat white popcorn

  • @bennyisawesome agreed

  • Do you have to use yellow popcorn !?

  • I don't like candy making recipes that don't reference the sugar's temperature. Would it be so hard to do that?

  • @mrpbear you're just melting sugar how hard is that

  • You got a big kitchen.

  • did this for about 30 min ago :3 its so tasty!

  • yummm

  • Yum! That looks really good! I'm gonna try this recipe some day. Thanks for taking the time, I LOVE Carmel popcorn! :)

  • Mind it is very hot.

  • Do you know wich are the degrees F when you take the caramel out befor adding the baking soda?, Please.

  • @esmeraldakitty ....You don't need to know the temperature. I've made this heaps of times by doing exactly what she did in the video and it works great every time. Very tasty and by far the best caramel popcorn recipe/video I've found yet. Just follow what she does and you can't go wrong. The only thing I do is buy the bags of microwave popcorn and use two bags for this recipe.

  • I did it with chopped peanuts and m&ms, great recipe. Great for halloween and xmas.

  • I want a taste-avision!

  • That looks so yummy!

  • i love her! she doesn't do that with this faked smile like the other chefs.

but i never found another video, where she's in :(

  • why kosher salt?? does the anti gentile blessing/tax make it taste better

  • @cdimmm Yeah, and it doesn't have iodine in it.

  • Goof...

  • !!!!!! CUT DOWN ON THE SALT AND BAKING SODA !!!!!!! it gets a disgusting after taste

  • Can we just use normal salt.. because i dont even know what kosher salt is:S

  • @TheTruthfulPromise Normal salt is fine. That's what I use when I make this.

  • i loved the recipe,very criative,easy and deliciou,i will try. thanks

  • Can i use Baking powder instead of baking soda ?

  • @KarlKensmark no absolutely not they are 2 totally different things

  • she prolly should have put a damp towel under that bowel to prevent sliding/spinning of the bowl.

  • @allycat114 That's what I do. Something I worked out after making this myself following the video. Last thing we need is a hot sugar burn....ouch.

  • So appetizing! I love the effect of baking soda!

  • Awe my mommy use to make me popcorn like this...

  • I wanted to make this till she said kosher.

  • wow! thts soooo simple!

  • can i use brown sugar instead ?

  • @iluvbrunomarshellyea

NO don't do it!! It tastes horrible with brown sugar! It burns easily.

  • delicious and fabulous, I prepare the recipe, thanks

  • for the kids or adventurous adults!!

  • is it ok to save it as a gift ?? i mean in a small boxes for 2 weeks later or more ???

  • A good idea to mix this bowl of hot molten caramel is to place a donut shaped towel underneath this bowl. Roll the towel into a twist and wrap it under the bowl. Keep it from rolling of the counter top.

  • buying a bag of butterkist would be quicker, cheaper, tastier and not result in an hour of washing up.

  • Close your eyes at 4:30 to 5:00 is it just me or does it sound wrong? xD

  • @andree1001 xD

  • -3 tablespoons oil

    -1/2 cup yellow popcorn

    -3 cups sugar

    -1 cup water

    -3 tablespoons butter

    -1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt

  • @angiepicturethis

hi, im from one of the third world countries and i have no problem at all on finding corn syrup whether they are imported from USA or locally made in supermarkets here. lol

  • @angiepicturethis sometimes if you cant get corn syrup you can use golden syrup it doesn't make to much of a difference :D

  • @angiepicturethis hey if you're looking for a corn syrup substitute, use glucose paste :D It's exactly the same, and it looks like a super thick clear liquid, you can get it in the baking section. Ok? Enjoy :)
