I've watched both movies, but neither compares to the HBO series. Every episode is a polished gem. Smart, funny, and well written. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the movies. But even on the big screen the films don't have quite the same umpf! Maybe its alot easier to be creative and funny over 30 to 40 minutes, than it is over 100 to 110 minutes. But still, they had only 3 to 5 months to write 10 to 12 episodes. For the movies they had years.

This might be my all-time favorite scene from the series. I actually tear up a little near the end. There's just something so 'accepting,' so 'everything's gonna be all right,' so 'loving who you are' about it. Of course the song is terrific, too.
