I like my 2001 Buell X1. But my Suzuki SV 1000 can run circles around it with a smaller displacement v-twin. Gear changes are much slower on the Buell too. However, I doooo love the way she looks....And almost jizz my pants when I hear the motor run.

have you had the bike on the dyno yet. my 04 xb12s with d&d exhaut, k&n filter and race ecm only puts out 78 horses i was wondering if the ecmspy makes a big difference. check out some of my vids as well

hell yeah. True American Muscle!! thats what i like to hear. Was the ECMSPY pretty easy to use? i dont have the race ecm and i heard the spy program was the best. i have no experience with mapping but can get copies of the stock and race maps. would that be easy for me to do?

Its very straight forward. The program comes with a user manual, and it explains everything. I have not messed with my mapping yet, I plan to try it. I wanted to see what the stock race ECM map was like, and its great. It could use some tweaking on the bottom end though, and there is just so much you can do. The manual goes in to great detail on how to do what you want to accomplish performance wise, without smoking your motor.

right on. so i found the guys email that i bought my bike from and after countless hours of searching i found out that my xb9s does have the race ecm. it just didn't say for race use only on it lol. however im still interested in using the ecmspy to maybe get a little lower end as well.

Both of my headlights dont stay on. I know it can be done but have heard that it could overheat the headlight housing and melt it. Thats just what I've heard. HID's? Not sure man. I'd have to see it first before I could make a ruling on that. Thanks for the comment. Take care.

i have an 03' XB9S with some mods on it but i bought it from a guy that already had whats called the jumper kit? on it for the headlights. it wont melt the housing. HID may be a little hot but ive seen them on em. i personally threw a set of xenon gas bulbs (hyper white) in mine and i love em. real bright and they help at night big time.

@RPM9119... most guys get a wiring fix for it, but i just keep the rocker switch of my xb12xt's high/low beam in the middle position and both lights stay on just fine.

I have the same bike, same colour, same pipes but gold wheels. The pipes I have are made by Remus & I agree the video sound gets overwhelmed by the beefiness of that motor. Ive had lots of bikes over the years but nothing compares to the Buell. My fave part is when it sets off car alarms & gives grannies coronaries when you fire it up..Magic!

Much appreciated! I really want to post another one because I never thought the sound quality on this video did the bike justice. My camera isn't the greatest and the sound overwhelms it a bit. I'm glad people like it, I know I do. Everyone who hears it in person loves it. I have to give props to Odie at Special Ops for making a killer exhaust. He does awesome work.
