has anyone here ever tasted common carp? how do you think they compare? ive never had common carp because...uh well, you know (not really appealing to me). but im interested what those of you who had tried both think. oh yea and ive never tried bighead carp either.
I think the reason why game fish like bass alot more popular to eat is because the simplicity of their bone structure very little. I know in the video he said alot of them were dissolved in the processing process but to a game fisher man who fishes right out of the water carp will always have tons of little bones everywhere. Which is the reason why I usually don't go for the carp.
This video kind of makes it sound like something extreme has to be done to these fish to make them edible. The bighead, along with silver carp, are excellent any way you want to cook them.
This is a superb video. Thank you so much. I have eaten carp in Idaho, that I shot with my bow, two times now and I was not disappointed!

Unlike the common carp, these are not "bottom feeders"
