  • Beautiful garden! Did you use organic fertilizers or compost teas?

  • All I used was compost that I put in the isle I did not add any fertilizers.

  • you shut plant garlic around the cabbage, it keeps insects away, by the way i always water my plants in the night it works great maybe because of my country weather i live in Costa Rica. thanks great garden

  • You should never put your plants to bed wet. This just introduces disease and fungice. I water early morning.

  • shes right and its more apt to give the smell to the air and attarct birds to

  • I just got gourd seed for large bottle mix are gourds good to grow and how long does it take?

  • If you like gourds then they are good to grow. But you cant eat them. Good for crafts.

  • WOW! Lots of beans and peppers.

  • wow thegarden

  • The pumpkin thingy~ looks like watermelons.. were they?

  • It ended up being a gourd a large one about the size of a pumpkin but it had smooth hard skin like a gourd. Alot of gourds came up by them self.

  • The "pumpkin thing" you have looks a lot like the lemon cucumbers a friend of mine had. Although now it's probably way too late and whatever it was has been determined months ago. haha

  • Would you tell me what time in a day is a best time to water the plants and how many time that you have to do them. How much water per plants that you use each time?

Thanks, I am learning how to do gardening. I spend few hundreds dollars this year but I can only harvest few tomatoes and cocumbers. I am verry discouraged. Please advise.

  • Morning is the best time to water your plants. You never want to put your plants to bed wet. Dont water in the heat of the day. I think they say 2 inches of rain a week. If you are not sure how much your plants are getting because you are using a sprinkiler just put cup or a bowl in the garden that way you can see how much the cup has collected. Putting your plants to bed wet will just lead to mildew and fungas problems. I hope this was helpful. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

  • Hey, what part of the country are you in? Northeast? I kept thinking you were in the south, and I couldn't figure out why your plants were "behind" where mine are. Now I get it! You're just now having 80 F weather. That explains a lot, and is a real testament to the TLC you're giving your plants!

  • I live in Maine about 10 minutes from Augusta. Thanks

  • Wow! What a difference a few weeks makes! Great looking plants. Thanks for sharing!

    B
