For example; I learned the grand conjuration from guitar world, and that exposed me to DADFAE. It's a very versatile tuning that i plan on using from now on.

How did you conclude that? What I meant was, if you're going to cover a song, atleast do whole band composition, don't be one of these pure poses who "shows off their skills" and plays over the track.

Yes, 95% of "Youtube cover artists" are people like this. I know that sounds ridiculous, but just look at them, they are all the same. They are usually people who know nothing about music and are amateur guitarists. I especially dislike when the person plays over the track, to make it look like they're better than they are. I would elaborate on it more, but I really don't have time...and I really don't feel like it.

By tab and by ear. Some of the tabs didn't sound right, and sometimes I wanted to mix up the 2 guitar parts to get a better single guitar line.
