  • he should perform in the superbowl half-time show, now that would be show!

  • Another comment I should add is for people who are in gigging bands. "People don't know what they like, they like what they know."

  • dennisI2008, Joe is paying tribute to Billy & Gary. I would consider it an honor to have Joe play some of my music. Everyone does it. When a great jazz artist like Cannonball Aderly plays "Mercy, mercy mercy" written by Joe Zawinul is that a rip off? Take a great peice of music and put your spin on it. All the jazz and classical musicians do it.

  • Tweet me when Little Joey stops ripping off Billy Gibbons and Gary Moore. Thanks.

  • @dennisl2008 some people may call it a cover,

  • This man is so clean ! wow !

  • Very good guitarist & good sound ! seems it's a flying V heritage ...

  • wow joe wow. blew me away.

  • 18 dislikes are from the Vatican :D....

  • 9:20. That's got to be such a great feeling. Standing above everyone else on stage, everyone in the audience looking straight at you, and you get to rock out with TWO drummers. Incredible

  • this guy has taken the torch that was being carried by johnny winter, and stoked it to a huge flame,wow.....freakin awsome....art, talent, hot.......speachless....wow

  • The 18 dislikes are from those who prefer techno and autotune to real human talent.Skynet's creations.

  • Saw Joe last night in Bakersfield CA. My first JB show. It was totally awesome. A1 performance all around. I will definitely go see him again if I get the chance. And yes he played an outstanding version of this song.

  • Awesome! The one and only JB !

  • love his flow, his sound, just his over all performance is amazing

  • FULL Concert of Joe Bonamassa | Live from the Royal Albert Hall on my channel guys!

    It's ONE full video!

  • Ain't nobody like Joe. Can't wait to see him in Nashville in May!!!!!

  • @RobChappers is always playing this song!

  • The riff for this song sounds exactly like the riff from Bad Little Doggie by Gov't Mule - to the point where I thought it was a cover until he started singing...

  • I have been a fan of this man's since the late 1990s when he was playing little rooms that held no more than a 100 people...he has always put it on the line and a person would be hard pressed to find a better guitar talent in this day and time....

  • Joe Bonamassa вооще корает!!!

  • @buddyrush1059 shut up malcom X

  • myimage1984 says it all. there aren't any who compare to JB. He carries his youth in his voice, but there is a professional playing the guitar. Bravo!!!!!!!!!

  • Pat Travers wasn't bad.

  • Joe does a fantastic cover of this song! Amazingly good!

  • 14 people are simply twats.

  • "ooh, he's doing a a solo, get the camera on his arse and the back of his head!"

    er? still, he's awesome :)

  • 14 people didnt get paid!

  • 14 def people

  • wonder if the first 5 rows knew they were going to get their faces melted clean off

  • One of my favourite songs played by one of my favourite guitarists! Interesting that a Les Paul player uses a V for playing a Les Paul (guitar, not guitarist) song :)

    Sounds good enough, though... :)

  • @MrAVTN

That would be because he jams to Dazed and Confused in the solo, he incorporated it before he went back into the Just Got Paid riff.

  • This song reminds me of Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin!

  • Damn! He's doin' more Eric Johnson licks than Eric Johnson does!

  • He's just cancelled/postponed a concert in Blackpool coz of flu... boohoo, he was on the radio last week about how much he was looking forward to it.!

  • Oh what a guitarman. Got to buy the DVD.

  • What is this song called?

  • Listening to this on the live DVD with a good stereo system & speakers will blow your mind. I love to rattle the windows and the neighbors.

  • @Secrent It's called "Just got paid"

  • the soul of "rock" incarnate.

  • genial vu ce dimanche a bxl fantastique

  • wow that was amazing!

  • This guy is my replacement fix for Gay Moore RIP

  • I've never even heard of this guy untill I just saw a PBS special on him. Absolutely Unbeleivable!! Definately has his own style but makes me think of the late great Stevie Ray Vaughn. This dude has got the BLUES MOJO in spades!

  • what is this song called

  • @LesPaulGuitarsPwn

just got paid, written by ZZ Top

  • @LesPaulGuitarsPwn just got paid

  • Doesn't get any better than this!

  • @bonafiedmassa AGREED!!!!!

  • Thanks Progressive Head, love Joe and the entire shows are amazing!

  • Full concerts from Joe Bonamassa on my channel, guys!

or just search it by 'joe bonamassa full concert' and you'll get there...

  • Musicians like this are so underated these days, such a shame

  • Bogie Bowles. That's my man! Listen to that dual kit action!

  • Awesome!

  • If only all music nowadays was this good.

  • gives me the chills

  • this is amazing good guitar playing , JB is one af the greatest . love it

  • I really like Bonamassa, probably my newest favirot...

was going to go to one of his concerts but those tickets arnt cheap!

No offense to Joe, but I wouldnt pay that kinda money to really see anyone play. I'd rather just play myself.

  • Powerful stuff!! Anton Fig on drums!!

  • Brilliant. Amazing. Soulful and powerful. Simply one of the greats.

  • dazed and confused solo! AWESOME!

  • Let your fingers do the talking - Bonamassa speaks a fab language, that everybody with love for music and world class guitar playing does understand! Just awesome !!!!!

  • Ladies & Gents...Boys & Girls of All Ages...Listen..

I have had the Honor of knowing & listening to some of the Greats of our time.

Not many can compare to JB.

His sound is Rightous and True.

He talks from his soul with his guitar. That Ladies & Germs...is the Mark of a True Artist. ROCK ON>>>ROCK ON

  • @myimage1984

    JB.... Justin Bieber?

  • @irskoe beiber = ZERO talent. bonamassa = too much talent. who do you think deserves the nickname.

  • @myimage1984 good and fine... just shows that the Romans were right saying : Et colores et gustibus non est disputandum...

You can't debate colors and taste... I prefer E.C.'s slow hand but yeah... JB can handle them 6 strings.... just a matter of taste

  • Could not care less for how he does this. He does it! This is pretty much the same as sex ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @moneyquickeasy ... it's not a peddle. It's a pick-up transmitter to the amps and it's controlled feedback from his being grounded. Like when you reach for an antenna on the radio and get static.

  • @moneyquickeasy

    theremine

  • It does not get any better than that!!

  • Are two drummer really necessary?

  • @moneyquickeasy not neccesairy. there's one drummer always playing the rythm and the other follows him, and plays extra fills. it's like rythm and lead guitar

  • @diddyhayes A good drummer should be able to do both

  • @moneyquickeasy

wel, many great lead guitarists also had rythm guitarists, don't need to tell me what drumming is about;)

  • @moneyquickeasy ... may I suggest you look up the video from this concert, "Happier Times", for a good example of why there's 2 drummers. There's no way one drummer could do what they do. And if you watch the whole concert you'll see where some of the songs just have either Bogie or Anton playing by themselves. But my question is... Why does it bother you, as it seemingly does, that there are 2 drummers?

  • @alleneh I don't know if it bothers me, it's just that I don't see the point. Will that much be lost if only one capable drummer is present? I doubt many would even notice the difference.

  • @alleneh On second thought, I watched Happier Times (incredible song), and I concede. It wouldn't be the same with one drummer.

  • @moneyquickeasy ... I had a pretty strong feeling you'd agree. Happier Times is a powerful tune (one of my favorites) and the drummers make all the difference, not to mention the driving force of Carmine Rojas on bass. But I guess you could say the real reason there are 2 drummers is because that's what Joe wanted. He had a vision, and it was an awesome one. Most of the reviews I've read all mention what a impact the drummers were

  • @alleneh Yeah, I won't be so quick to dismiss dual drummers in the future. Question, did Joe write all the drum parts too?

  • @moneyquickeasy ... I can't say for sure, but I'd assume he did. You should also check out "High Water Everywhere" for an even better example as to why he had 2 drummers.

  • love how he slides into DAZED AND CONFUSED and back to his tune.. smooth!! looking forward to seeing him Live in Oct...

  • 13 dislikes???? Are you kidding me? They all must have gotten together, formed a circle-jerk and shoved their heads up their collective asses. I guess there's no accounting for taste.

  • I've watched the DVD of this concert at least a dozen times. Seeing it on big screen with surround sound cranked up is the only way to fully appreciate the true talent of not only Joe, but all the band members. Rick is awesome on keyboards... Bodie and Anton on drums are beyond awesome... Carmine on base is a driving force to be reckoned with. It just doesn't get any better than this. The encore that follows this song brings goose bumps. Do yourself a favor. Buy the DVD

  • The bass players name is Carmine Rojas and I can tell you that after seeing JB live which by the way is the only way to really see and feel how great JB is, that Carmine in my mind should get a hell of aot more credit than he does. It's like watching Pippen feeding the ball to Jordan.

  • This man can do all he want with a guitar.

  • Aaah. My daily dose of Joe B.

  • Dang that boy is good, wish I had one of those flying v's

  • ..best modern imitation of jimmy page EVER!!! hats down..

  • @marindjurkovic yeah but he can sing to :D

  • OH MY....LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!

  • It's kinda amazing that no one has commented on how great the bassplayer is xD

  • @QueenToKingOfSpades yea he's amazing.

  • Kickin' ass! They need to lose the organ though...it distorts the sound of Joe's guitar dammit!!

  • this is most most amazing video i have fucking ever seen, he made his guitar his bitch

  • This guy is a beast....has a great video with govt mule on youtuube.....check it out

  • Just now discovered him last night on PBS and I was BLOWN AWAY THROUGH MY WALL AND INTO MY NEIGHBORS!!!

What can I say? I got great surround sond. ^_^

  • dude,play, but don't sing. you can't sing for shit !

  • @brainsareus

Wow amazing observation. Obviously you really did not listen....Did you?

  • holy... freakin'... shit!

    great upload

  • Nobody, I repeat, nobody makes it talk like Joe Bonamassa!

  • how the fuck that someone can dislike this!!?!

  • May possibly be the Best Jam I have ever heard ever..... !

  • What's the name of the song?

  • Comment removed

  • @colacho17 Just got paid... Zz top and "Dazed and confused" by led zeppelin... It's a jam...

  • @arju491102 thx!

  • A great tasting of the Bonamassa show.... see him live.....the real feast is there......

  • PURE BLUES//ROCK!!

  • Fuck me thats the best ZZ Top cover I ever heard!

  • Awsome. I'm dumbfounded.

  • I've been waiting a long time for someone who can do the following:

    1. Lay down rock, rock blues and blues tunes that will have you picking your jaw up off the floor. 2. Absolutely rip apart the fretboard by applying multilple techniques and blazing chops (this guy is NOT a one trick pony) from song to song and even within a song. 3. Have a voice that supports his guitar work AND can sing within the framework of multiple styles (rock, blues, rock blues etc..). JOE BONAMASSA is the REAL DEAL!!!

  • great cd great Joes on fire

  • snorrrrrrrrrr

  • @TheBluesguy62154 ...waiting for you to post your video of your great guitar licks!!

  • @TheBluesguy62154 Your kidding I hope.... how anyone could think this song is boring????. Just go play your Justin Bieber!

  • When I hit the ground I was on the run ~

  • over the hills and far away ending

  • JUST GOT BLOWN!!

  • People are commenting on the crowd. I appreciate them focusing on & enjoying the show. Just because they do not have their arms in the arm while someone is yelling they are in the house does not mean they do not appreciate the music.

  • Every time I listen to this song it gets hotter.

  • I saw him live and i think it was there

  • OMG IM SHOCKED

  • Just blows the roof off the dump!

  • I have the Royal Albrt Hall,Blue Ray disc . A total killer performance!

  • ...oh, duh. Or on David Letterman's show. 8) Nevermind. Thanks, Google.

  • ....does anyone know who the drummer on the left (with the hat) is? I seem to remember seeing him once with Boz Scaggs?...

  • Top drummers made this possible !!!!!

  • @BluesJoints Not hardly.....its the man out front that makes it happen.

  • @marcman0013 Its all the same, they are having fun

  • @marcman0013 True, but without that band, he'd sound like a kid with a guitar ~

  • Amazing!!

  • I bought this album off itunes. I love the remake of lonnie mack's you better stop. I'm going to remake that song one day. It just speaks to my soul.

Check out my new video - No Rides. I'm a female keeping the blues and funk alive!!!

  • i hate the two drummers, that seriously really unnecessary

  • @iplayveryloud

no its not unnecessary...it sounds great

  • @infinityjet onw ould sound just as good. its really stupid to have two. when toni iommi recorded his guitar parts twice that worked. but this is stupid

  • @iplayveryloud

well lets just agree to disagree :)

  • 3:11 to 3:32 ........ OMFG you heard that, JUSTIN?? is something called FEELING !!

  • That was probably the best roller coaster that Flying V will ever have gone on.

    So great. smh

  • Joe is the shit! I've seen him twice and it wasn't a disappointment.....

  • Boy that got boring towards the end. Zzzz.

  • @vonalxao1 thats because your boring

  • Killer big fat V tone !!

Reverend Gibbons should be very proud of Joe.

  • The whole Royal Albert concert is a gem.

  • I love his LPs, but that V says it all.

  • one of the last TRUE rock guitarists

  • I think he is probably checking his pick not his nails... Go check out the Royal Albert Hall version of "High Water Everywhere"

  • ROCKS!!!!!!!!

  • Joe is NOT the second coming of SRV (RIP). He is the 1st coming of JB! He pays respect to the styles he emulates (as he should). No passion? Gimme a break. As for a vocal coach? Muddy, John Lee, Buddy, BB etc did not have one and maybe should have. The point is that this genre of music is not about perfect vocals, and all of the above were unique and awesome in their OWN way. How someone can say a musician Clapton says is amazing sucks is beyond me. maybe EC doesn't know squat huh? LMAO!

  • he turns into a monster in this video

  • Watching this on youtube is nothing compared to watching him live, if you have the chance to go one of his shows... GO! You won't be disappointed

  • Joe rules the blues...very ingenious playing !! Gotta love when he checks his Nails...

Tony Levin, Dbl. scoop of Drums.... oh yeah !!

  • Joe rules the blues...very ingenious playing !! Gotta love when he checks his Nails...

  • going to see him in November can't wait the man is awesome

  • Needs more than two Thumbs to raise them up!

  • I am 57 years old retired hippie. I was t.v. surfing and went to PBS. Joe B was just walking out on the stage at Royal Albert Hall. I was wondering who this guy was. He started playing and I was blown away. I sat down and stayed with the whole concert. My love for blues and rock has been reborn . WOW he is beyond amazing. A very old soul in a very young body.

  • Takes a lot to get the entire royal albert hall audience to stand and cheer.

  • 8:16 to 8:24

    i had a boner

  • Totally Impressed!!!!

  • Once again you have posted an outstanding article along with videos of the finest Blues Man on the planet. To those that disagree with this statement I say stand by because Mr Joe Bonamassa is just 32 years old.

  • way cool

  • every time i listen to him it just gets better

  • i love it! HE SOMEHOW INCORPORATED DAZED AND CONFUSED INTO THIS SONG!!

  • This is why he is my idol!!!!!!!!!

  • joe could rap 6 rubberbands around a tissue box and still make it sound good

  • @bigcountry151991 <--- Ya got THAT right!!! LOL Good one~ ;-p~

  • @bigcountry151991 ....YOU FUKIN SAID IT.....LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Comment removed

  • Bad ass dude!!

  • His songwriting is no better than the just-okay song stylings of Doyle Bramhall II. I must be a jerk eh? haha. I'm always looking for something a little less shallow than guitar wankage. The words are obviously just there so he has an excuse to dance around the fretboard for seven minutes.

  • Comment removed

  • @Mackers2317 I wouldn't class Sloe Gin as shallow :). However that's just me ;-).

  • @Robholmesmusic Yeah I hope there's some gems in there. I've been hearing about this guy from a couple friends and I just can't get into his songs. So I was disappointed. Like Already Free by The Derek Trucks Band?
