im shocked he isnt doin any better this year i meen the first few races of the chase he was a top 3 car every race i even thought he mite win the championship
yeah look nowl ast two races he could won indianapolis and 2nd place at poconos common montoya is gonna kick anybody at nascar , his show time just started
I think it was stupid living the F1 without first being winning a championship. Anyway, I think he will do much better in Nascar and will surprise a lot of people. In the mean time I would like ask you to help me out winning a contest, so I can go to a Nascar reace car and watch this guy. Check the video "Mechanics, be careful when you dick around!" and you will find out how you can help me out. Thanks and good luck!
Hey i remember along time ago the men in iraq got radios in their helmets to make em feel good. They should try this for nascar drivers but im sure that guy at 2:06 wanna here "burn baby burn"
I was wondering how good the Dodge is which Montoya drives? NASCAR experts could probably enlighten me.How much better would Montoya do if he was in a top car like a Chevrolet or in a top team? Has any other Dodge driver won a race this year?
Hey idiot. Juan just drives nascar nextel cup cars. He never raced in the arca re/max series. Just becuase it says 42 havoline dodge. Dosent mean its juan.
what races would they be because it's not in any arca/remax headlines.. i think it would make the headlines don't you...... and just for the record, i'm a fan of his
nice high horse you're on...... i said a fan not a die hard fan. like his driving skills. doesn't mean i follow every move he makes. but yeah i did find the races he was in and thanks for trying to shove your knowledge down my throat. sorry for my montoya ignorance. nascar...... brings people together (sarcasm)
Nascar is the #1 form of auto racing for one reason: it doesn't rely on telemtry to operate. It requires the driver to know more about the care both in feel and in direct car knowledge. It would be quite simple to read on-the-fly stats instead of simply feeling the vehicle. This is the top reason JPM is failing, he lacks that intuition because of his time in other forms. Other forms are skillful, no doubt, but this cannot be denied. Also, fat 'stached drivers? Name one.
look at todays field and find 10 fat or moustached nextel cup drivers. rally and f1 are skilled drivers but nascar is not as easy as it seems. mario andretti and al unser didn't dominate nascar when they came, and that was when the drivers weren't as much as a talent crop as today. if nascar drivers were fat, moustached, and unfit, dont you think they would be fired by now? quit perpetuating the stereotype of being a snobby f1 fan.
exactly i'm totally agree with u, just look martinsville and bristol, montoya is doing well for his first season even when he is on 20th maybe he will finish 18th and the rookie of the year

they can race up to 230-240mph and they have in the past. but the cars were to fast, so fast that a car blew a tire and flew into the catch fence. that's when NASCAR decided they needed to slow the cars down. so now they use restrictor plates. now the cars can only get up to 190mph on tracks like Talldega and Daytona.
Omg! Thats amazing for a stockcar! But still, 190mph is still very fast. I wish i could see it live, but i'm from holland so that is not possible for me

He isnt doing great (yet) because its a totally different racing sport that shares nothing with F1 and he will eventually get used to it.
And i never claimed F1 drivers are the most skilled ones either, clearly rally have the better drivers in the planet since ages ago, and it has been proven year after year after year beating track drivers on tarmac 18 - 1 lol.
Oh and just to let you know, im a rally driver you can watch my in-car videos ;)
IF you think Nascar or drag racing is easy, you are absolutly out of your mind. All racing is difficult and deserves respect. If it was so much easier than open wheel racing, wouldn't Montoya and Allmendinger be doing a whole lot better?

Montoya was 2 laps down
If Montoya doesn't get Rookie of the Year, the whole award is a joke. First hand because he's a "rookie" in Nascar while coming in from the most elite driving league league in the World.

You clearly misunderstood me. Take this example: AJ Allmindinger. He has failed to qualify for quite a few races, despite his previous champ car experience. I know what you're thinking: Champ Car does not equal F1. I'm just using Allmindinger as an example of how past sucess in another series does not necessarily equal immediate sucess in NASCAR. Only a select few open-wheelers had immediate sucess-the two best examples of this are Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart.
Gotcha... I did misunderstand you. I thought you were putting the skill level needed for NASCAR above that of F1, which is ...well.. you know..hell...no comment. OK, so granted. Let's see what happens with Montoya!
I wouldn't necessarily go as far as saying the skill levels of F1 are above NASCAR or vice versa. I would say the skill is equally challenging in many different ways. And don't take the easy way out and say NASCAR is a bunch of rednecks making left turns all day, because everybody says that and quite frankly I'm sick of it. It is so much more than that, people are just ignorant when it comes down to it.
