  • wow thats cool! i have one old sears garage door open brown 1/3hp.. i still keep it.... but not used ...i wont throw away it..

  • I have one like this, but the case is red, and the radios are analog not digital. The remote looks the same, except it's a white case and label.

    They're pretty good machines. =-)

  • mine just broke, any idea how to fix it ?

  • Hi I am an owner of a garage door and fireplace retail business. I wanted to comment first on the comment before me. Openers are not designed to carry alot of weight. On a garage door you have counterweight, and you have that for a reason. Especially with the liftmaster opener that is installed on this, It has a plastic drive gear inside and we are constantly replacing these operators for this reason because they strip out. Thanks for the op. to comment on this subject.

  • I also work for a door company and this opener does not have those gears inside. Just replaced one those door openers that had opened a shut a door with a broken spring for 5 years. It is all belt driven inside and if you overload the motor the belt just slips. I would think the motor would burn out or the belt would snap before anything else. Most Chamberlain, Sears, Liftmaster openers made before 1984 do have a horrible history of stripping nylon gears out all the time though.

  • Hi, does this door have a counterweight? If not - how much weight can the opener lift? and . . is there any safety mechanism to stop small animals or people getting mashed by the big steel door? - Cheers

  • hello gamealarm glad you uploaded the video in sound, just think of all the things you can do with a garage door opener, ever thought of getting into the feild of door repair??
