sorry but I have to say: the original is so much better, the song doesnt fit into a modern dance-/club-beat, really...it´s an ageless funky song of the 70´s.... such epic songs shouldnt be put on the commercial market
The original was "put on the commercial market" too - that's how you got to hear it. This version is faster than than the original but I would not say this is a dance/club beat - either would many others. I totally love the original version - such a wonderful energy and vibe - and I also like this version too as this presents a great classic song to a whole new audience in a new era.
Great version of one of my favorite songs of all time. I love Taborah and Darryl's voices and the music sounds amazing thanks to Peter McLean and Keith Kemper of D1 Music. YES!!!
Taborah made this song her own, but then, you can always count on her for that. D1 does it again!!! Another masterpeice collab put together. Well done! Applause, applause!
Great to hear this latest take on a platinum hit. This reminds me of why this classic was such a hit in 1979, then again for Luther Vandross in '94, and why it keeps coming back in many different ways (e.g., played at the Convention when Obama accepted his nomination.) Thanks for this Re-fresh of a classic!
