@TheRealFufuchs Oh and I forgot that I modified that stand to accept the bigger monitor. Hope its not too late. I wasn't even thinking until somebody asked. my bad.
Hey man, I'm really interested in getting a good, affordable monitor for Graphic and Motion design. I've been looking at this monitor (Dell Ultrasharp U2412M) and I see that it has good adjustability, cost, it's LED and full HD... one problem I see with the technical details is that it has a 8ms response time... Now I don't know much about this, but I know other monitors have 5 or even 2ms response times... Does this affect it at all? Looking forward to a reply! Thanks :D
I use these for 3D modeling, and I can't even notice the response time causing any issues, but if you were doing something that required really fast user input like video gaming or something, I think that is when the response time might get you a little bit.
But if you really think about it, try to count 8ms or even 20ms its almost inhumanly possible. That's my opinion.
@TheBigBowy Thanks for replying :D Well I like these a lot, but I think I have found some better suited monitors for me... same good quality, but a 2ms response time for when I do my motion graphics etc. The: iiyama ProLite E2473HDS 24" But a helpful video nonetheless.... and there are so many good monitors, all have their benefits and flaws haha :P
@MrAndreRio From what I understand, the u2410 is a bit better as far as color reproduction. I haven't compared the two side by side myself. I can say that these are much better that their "professional" series twisted nematic junk. IPS is much better. IMO.
@TheBigBowy Thanks for replying. The u2412m has an e-ips panel, the u2410 has a s-ips panel and i also have a 2209wa, which has an e-ips panel, and i can tell you the 2209wa e-ips panel has a lot better picture quality.
@TheBigBowy Which monitor stand do You use? I also have three monitors working.

@Trubyd44 Just the center mount has to be lengthened. And the outside adjustable rails will be past their intended location, but not to worry...
Sorry I wasn't thinking.

@Trubyd44 I put up another video showing the back of the stand. Hope this helps.

These are really good mid to high level monitors.
Thanks.

Do you prefer the 16:10 aspect ratio?

@4g92mit Yes I do, because you gain a bit of your height back. I can't stand short and looooong monitors.
Thanks.
