The NWA title is kinda worthless isn't it? I mean calling a title for a company that died over 20 years ago a WORLD heavyweight title, really? Shane Douglas threw it away like garbage. Christian Cage was the last NWA champ worth a damn when TNA had it at least then it had a little prestige.
I'd like to know where besides youtube I can catch NWA events (not pay-per-views). NWA now is clearly smaller than the promotions were even back in the regional days before WWF wiped out the playing field. But it still has the title that goes back to Hackenschmidt and Gotch, back to the beginnings of Pro Wrestling.
it doesnt matter how many fans watch the title been defended, the fact is if your the nwa champion your the champion of the whole nwa, where as the wwe has 2 world titles and there changing hands every second
u got ur oppion but which would u rather do win d nwa world title in front of 100 mayb 200 if ur lucky people at some indy show no ever heard of r in front of 50000 + fans at wrestlemania win d wwe title?? cos me id wanna win d wwe title a wrestlemania
@bennydelaney08 well there's pros and cons to each but I'd rather win a title that actually meant something, not just some prop the wwe throws around to undeserving(although not always), so called superstars,I don't think I could even stand being called that instead of a wrester in the first place lol
you know when you get the NWA or ROH for that matter, you really earned and deserved the championship. Woud be nice if it was in front of 10 of thousands of people but I guess you can't everything
NWA events get about 50 fans and is made up of indy feds. Hardly a success if WWE goes out of business and the NWA title is still in front of barley anyone.
Wow that's a dumb argument. It's never been defend in front of as many fans. And only getting a big number in Japan as opposed to where the title originates and is mostly defended is pathetic.
Anyone who watches Wrestling ,not "sports entertainment" , but wrestling and understands the history of it, see's Scrap Iron as the WORLD heavyweight Champion and as the holder of the Greatest Wrestling title on this planet !!!!!!!

@shgarland It didn't end in a double pin. Pearce got the clear victory by raising his shoulder before the three count. There is no doubt Pearce won the match and is the new champ!
Adam, congratulatins on winning the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship and of all places, Charlotte. The last time a title change this big took place here was Starrcade 93 when Ric Flair beat Vader for the WCW Title. I've said this on other posts and I'll say it here: I would like to see the NWA do a pay-per-view in July in Waterloo, Iowa, since that is where it began in 1948. Adam, talk to your fellow wrestlers, promoters, etc. Let's make this happen. Again, congratulations and peace out.
Shit speaker, no charisma!

A title doesn't mean anything when it is defended in front of 30 people. What "legends" have held the title since Shane Douglas threw it down?
WWE title is defended in front of 70k people, more people than the NWA championship was ever defended before.

@AmericanNohbuddy The NWA title has been defended in Japan in front of thousands.
