Hmm... it may be that I had to record this as it streamed through the audio, using a programme that records whatever's going to be transmitted through the speaker (why I couldn't just use the CD track I don't know...) and it may be that I clicked a link or something whilst making the recording - certainly sounds like a cursor click!
I decided to play the Allegro part for Solo's (Summative) at school. The teacher says its going to be hard at my level, but thinks I can pull it off in a month and half to two months. I don't know what level I'm at......
@bluebottle99 i dont know... i could see this to a skate flick (not rollerblading)..... actually dwarf skating.... 2nd movement... maybe one of the skaters fell and broke his neck...and is floating to dwarf heaven.... haha you will never picture this masterpiece the same when u hear it!
Thank you for an additional gem in A minor. I love the second movement and am struck by the difference between this concerto and the Op. 9, #5. To me, this is more conventional but no less satisfying. I am also impressed with Vivaldi's use of space, in the second movement, not something typical in Baroque concertos. Lovely third movement, where the solo violin seems to serve as first violin of the orchestra as well. Excellent post.
I totally love this song! I'm really proud my teacher wants me to play this on violin!
