Education can be gained by observation and natural inquiry without a teacher (read Locke).
And morals again can be derived from evolutionary biology and the rise of society. To have people live together some sort of empathy is needed to define popular rule for justice.

But I agree, many hold on to just one single verse of the formula for a life in heaven. The Bible says clearly that you must do numerous of other things. I really don't know why atheists are so high and mighty in themselves. They don't seem to realise that even if the whole world went atheist today it would still have many problems. They have a misguided belief that the world will suddenly become some sort of paradise. Do they forget Mao, Stalin and other Atheist state leaders? Do they forget what they did? It is human nature to treat each other badly and it is a delusional fantasy to think that the world will better with or without God.

I don't know any atheist who thinks that if no one believes in god the world would be perfect, not one. Have never even heard of it. A world free from religion will have good ppl doing good things and bad ppl doing bad things. It takes religion to have people do evil while thinking it's good (i.e. 911) Not to mention social bias because a book says so (gays) you would have machos against gays but not cuz some book sez so. Empathy comes from the golden rule easily observed in evolutionary biology (read Dawkins or any evolutionary textbook (yes it happened)).
Education can be gained by observation and natural inquiry without a teacher (read Locke).
And morals again can be derived from evolutionary biology and the rise of society. To have people live together some sort of empathy is needed to define popular rule for justice.

By making these kind of videos saying that Athiests are better than Christians is no different to the fundies putting us all under one umbrella. I am a proud athiest, but I am tolerant of others beliefs and have met many Christians that are tolerant of mine and that are very good people. I've also met not so nice ones. But that's human nature. You're not going to find any single group of people that are exclusively good people or exclusively bad. People are just people.

I think the point he's trying to make is that atheism has a moral plasticity that religion abhors but also bastardises. Religion is designed, and as thus, has tools built in, such as (especially) the function by which we can draw any moral justification for anything, from holy books. slave ownership and child torture are justified in the same way that kindness and charity are.
the point to draw from this, is that atheism comes with no Campbell's microwave-morals. we draw morals from altruism

Human morality comes from an awareness and concern for the happiness versus suffering of others. Religious people, by thinking their morality was provided and dictated by a god, have simply diluted and diminished their own morality. Free will also can't exist with an omniscient being. And if it does, it means that God is the most pety, sadistic, evil creature in existence. Sweden 85% Atheist has 79 inmates per 100 000 ci
Looks like atheist are less likely to commit crimes to me !

But no, I AM an Atheist, and I am well aware that Atheists make up considerably less of the prison system than Christians. I don't claim Atheists are more likely to commit crime.

Christians put all there good deeds as aspired by god, and all there bad deed as work of the devil. At least this is what I gather from debating quite a few of them. That does not seem like accepting responsibility if you ask me...

I've heard that, too. While the devil certainly tempts, the Christian has no excuse because God always gives a way out (I Corinthians 10:13). And a Christian who sins planning to ask forgiveness later but feels no real remorse is not a Christian.

The title is sarcastic. But, for all means and purposes, all human beings are animals. And atheists are 'godless' by definition. So that does make us 'godless animals', and I'm perfectly OK with that.
