  • what does it mean????

  • lol like a week ago i went to this temple called '' city of thousand buddhas''. later near i think 1 pm a saw a rainbow around the sun plus a rainbow cloud. plus it was the buddha's birthday! sky gods, or science? if sky gods rate this comment up. if just science, rate down

  • chemtrails .. dibromoetano

  • I just saw one today. It was cool

  • These clouds and rainbow colors were created by chemicals....yes...CHEMTRAILS.

  • Also called a glory. Try searching that

  • My mom and I saw this back like 15 years ago in Auburn, Washington and took pictures of it. It was such a strange thing to see in person. We just thought it to be exhaust from a jet or something.

Seriously, is there a name for this?

  • @CNNnewsKNDP Also called a "Sundog" by us old timers. and its cause by ice crystils not chemicals.

  • @candr this isn't a sun dog...

  • @jackflash103 Well yes it can be, just ice crystils causeing a prism affect, seen them all my life and that was before the jet aircraft were being blamed for chemtrails, matter of fact it was even before there were jets period LOL. Nothing new, but very pertty.

  • circumhorizonal arc

gotta love these conspiracy theorist who think everything is a 'chemtrail'.

  • atmospheric halos.

this video shows a circumhorizonal arc.

  • I saw this also today in London UK

  • chemtrails : (

  • i saw the same type of thing! I just uploaded a video on it

  • It's not a sundog. Sundogs are to the left and right of the sun. It looks like a part of a circumhorizon arc.

  • i just notised one in the sky it was more vivid and whene i went to grab my camra it was gone by the time i got back out witch was about 15 secons

  • outphaze is correct. a parhelion.

  • wt so beautiful !!!!

  • that's a lot of pollution... i'm so sorry for this planet

  • Not pollution, actually. Rainbow clouds are caused by sunlight passing through small ice fragments in cirrus clouds. Very rare and beautiful.

  • In one you are right, and in one you are not. It's really not an sundog ... they are left and right to the sun ... called parhelions or as i said sundogs. And in one you are right :) It's not pollution as many people said ... i think you can tell it sundog. The principle is same :)

  • o.. oo.. omg!!

  • This happened in China 30 minutes and 10 minutes before the quake. See the videos.

  • Wow, thats cool. Never seen anything like that before.

  • I saw this too when I was in Germany

  • in california when i was 6 there was a cloud that looked like a bird and the next day on he news they said that it looked like a phinox(speeling suxs soz) and i remember it was so beautful and scary at the same time

  • are those Iridescent Clouds?

  • No, they're sundogs. Rainbow clouds.

  • i never seen that before!! how prettyyy

  • This is definitely not a sundog. Sundogs are to the right and left of the sun. When the camera panned back you would have seen the sun. It is a circumhorizontal arc. Look it up on google for more info.

  • I agree.

  • Its a sun dog. Its not rare. You just have to look out for them.

  • Sundog ??? Can't be ... as xxdamonxx77 said, these are to the left and right of the sun, it's of course circumhorizontal arc, which is not so common, so i think it's quite rare

  • they are more commonly found to the left and right of the sun, but not all the time.

  • Barium in the atmosphere.

  • Awesome shot. Are you aware the Univ of Calif has developed a new material that can take on any color

of the rainbow, simply by changing the distance between the material and a magnet, then coated with

an electrically charged surfactant. The stronger the

magnetic field the closer the particles with the

color changing from the red end of the spectrum towards the blue, opposite end as the magnet gets

    closer to the material.

  • Good going buddy, i have been after filming one of these for ages.

  • Its not sunlight reflecting ..... looks like a chemical reaction taken place. Good shot.

  • Fantastic find! Although "Sundogs" are supposed to be rare, LOTS of people seem to be finding and posting them lately. I found a photo gallery of Sundogs, many in the shape of trails, some with shots of planes leaving trails nearby...no mention of chemtrails is made on the site. Keep looking up!
