@akilddddd Real talk in the rematch Buddy did much better but still got outclassed in the later half. Imagine if Pernell wasn't on drugs how much greater he would have been. Look at how small he is, he's smaller than Manny Pac and was able to move to 154 and beat a huge guy for the belt. He beat ODL and JCC. He's something special and PBF does not come close to him. Foreman may be wrong once in while but he knows the sport. Gold winner and HW champion TWICE and didn't lose it in the ring the second time. I think George knows one hell of a lot of boxing and not just because he can punch. A great champion and a good commentator!

Both fighters look excellent. This is why I don't understand those who say Pea slipped off so much from Lightweight. He was not as good at WW as he was at LW, but as shown from this performance and even moreso in the rematch, he was still fantastic as a WW. McGirt was extremely underrated as well.

oscar did get a gift...but Pete never got credit for being tough and having a GREAT chin. He got hit flush by some of the hardest hitters(chaves, mcgirt,de le hoya and trinidad) but never got stopped.

Mgcirt was an awsome fighter, he was a very good technician and had good power, it's too bad about his arm, cause if it wasnt for the fact that he was a one arm fighter, he would have gone even farther

Awesome fight. Saw it live, but don't remember them going at it this hard. Pernell's an all time great and I always thought McGirt would've beaten Chavez if he got the chance at 140.
