The insured pay for the bills of the uninsured through sky-rocketing co-payments and premiums. 50% of all bankruptcies are due to medical bills and 75% of those people HELD INSURANCE. 18,000 people will die this year alone because they are uninsured, but hey I see your logic. We already have socialized health-care in medicare medicaid and schip. The Government sets the prices for half the health care sector directly and the other indirectly. They have done a lousy job of keeping cost down. Any expansion of Government care will raise prices even more. Why would we want to go backwards?
