@davidgrahamscott They sounded like them. too. I really hope one day I can find all the original elements — picture and sound — and produce a clean, high-def version of this project, which originally would have ran about 15 min. Sadly, they were store away over 35 years ago and I can't find them now.
@cyborlite How did you lose the sound from an old VHS tape? Was the video just shot from a projected silent 16mm copy and the sound was separate? On a mag tape I guess? Shit...it must be somewhere!!! This looks amazing.
@davidgrahamscott The film and sound (mag film) were separate elements. Because there was a problem with the dialogue not syncing up with the picture and I ran out of money (I was a film student at the time circa 1977) I never finished the project. In the 80s I was able to do a cheap transfer of the picture to VHS with the intent of trying to add the dialogue later. What's frustrating is that with today's technology fixing the problem would be easy. If only I could find it.
@cyborlite I can't believe you'd have thrown it out!! I guess you might have mislaid it over time but it's still really likely to be stored away!! Keep looking buddy!!
This video is terrific! Going to spread it around.
However, the audio makes me wanna pee.
