I've seen those things with other guards, too, and I'm not impressed. If that's the P.C. replacement for rifles, they need to go back to the drawing board.
No. Absolutly not. REHERSALS should be treated as performances! Practices, such as this, should be treated as practices. This is where they learn the technique and the equipment. Time weight, space, and flow of the equipment.
They will work it out. We colorguard instructors know when it's time for them to be able to move on.
OMG ITS ANDY!!!!!!!!!!!

Those things hurt. I use one for my marching band show this year, and I almost broke my hand with it.

yes, the hurt more then rifles, and they are also heavier then rifles.
These guys are awesome. very hard to catch a triple.. We wear mouth guards, because one airblad came down and wiped a friends front teeth. Not pretty

that was not too great.
different tossing times & the catching was off. i could hear the hands hitting at different times instead of simutaneously.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
well still.
even the director is saying that they're catches are "popcorny" which means they aren't together.
a guard is suppose to treat a practice just like a performance.
