I think her background vocalist shouldnt sing with her if u notice when they're not present (lik in here Indiana State Fair Performance) she does well. I'm not sure I would go as far as to say that her agent told her to cry, but I somewhat agree with you. I definitely think that about 90% of her 'emotions' in this song were fake. She needs to worry more about how she sounds than about how she looks when shes singing. She tries too hard to look like she's 'into' the song and it makes her look like an idiot. At least Jessica sings live, unlike Britney Spears. With that said, Jessica sounds pitchy throughout this performance. Maybe her confidence is shaken by all the criticism of late. If you think the girl can't sing, then watch her sing "Take My Breath Away" on "Live with Regis and Kelly". She sounds amazing there. I'm betting she is just lacking confidence these days and that's affecting her performance. Her recorded version of this song sounds great.

I've been a fan of Jess for years and love how she's grown musically. But i can't stand her live performances anymore. She has to start going to a vocal coach again. Can she sing? ABSOLUTELY. But her voice hasn't been the same since the start of her career (when she was seeing a vocal coach). Her voice has become more coloured but her pitch, range and diction are awful now!!! It can be fixed though (i'm a singer myself). And enough with the fake accent. It's not in the recorded versions!
