Texas Collection by OPI - The New Sorbet-like Look

I just had to laugh at some of the comments. Buying an entire collection of not so cheap nail polish becuase the name on the bottom of the bottle has something to do with a state that you or a person you know lives is so bizarre. It's nail polish, and I don't mean to shock you but colors already have names. Pink, orange, purple. They need to name a polish called "wasteful with money". For those who buy nail polish based on the name on the bottom of the darn bottle!

I don't buy a lot of OPI but I must say I splurged and got all 6 jellies. Jellies, sorbets, same thing. These are awesome though. I recently had to get an extra bottle of Tex-y becuase I keep going to it and I don't want to end up not finding it when the collection runs out. They are shiny and juicy and I just love em.

I just purchased San Tan-Tonio :) Its the lightest brown color from the Texas line. I've never seen a color like it! Its a gorgeous light brown <3

guy meets galveston was love at first wear for me! it's seriously my favorite nail polish color..i have loads of colors, but none compare to this juicy vibrant coral! :)

@OpiProducts hi! i got the y'all come back ya hear as a present from a friend, and i really like the coulor, but it keeps chipping! it has a playdough type feel when it dries on my nails :/ i did try appling a finish coat on top but it didnt work. what should i do?

@rubbermasta Sounds like you are either applying too many layers or the layers aren't drying before the next coat. Could this be the case?

I have this color and it is what I consider a true coral in person. I too bought it without knowing the finish and it's different but I like it for summer. Two coats on toes delivered a semi-transparent look.

The prettiest hands on youtube....I was told that a Salon I work for has the Texas Collection and the Shatter Polishes....Thank God I don't have to order it...excited about picking this up tomorrow! Still don't get the Sorbet effect!

I have Y'all come back you hear? and even coats is not opaque enough to hide the smile lines, i bought it before i know how sheer it was going to be but now I n't think i will ever use it...

@liveinelectric me too, i'm so disappointed... especially since that's a very light shade. I'll probably only wear it the nails are too short to see the line. if anything gets under your nail while your out, it shows as if you weren't wearing a polish - really gross.

People (especially bloggers) are screaming about this awesome new sorbet finish, and I'm getting mad because they're acting like they've never seen jelly polish before.

Ya'll know this sorbet stuff is just jelly polish. Stop the madness!

@Aquaria2291 It especially bothers me when it is nail bloggers because I know that they KNOW it is the same too but are being given free samples to advertise what OPI wants advertised.

I also find it rather amusing that when this collection was presented, nothing was mentioned AT ALL about 'sorbet' finishes and they were referred to as jelly polishes. It's like there was not enough hype so they had to rush and think of something else to tack onto it.

@sheilahnb That's exactly what happened. The first swatches I saw of the collection was over at alizarineclaws, and the overwhelming response was a big whomp whomp. It looked boring and uninspired, especially in comparison to much of the stuff OPI's been busting out as of late.

So they tried to make it seem like something revolutionary was going on with the collection.

I don't blame them for that...they gotta make that money.

I blame the people who are guzzling and sharing the kool-aid. =__=

That color you are using is pretty but it doesn't seem coral to me at all, more of a hot/berry pink color:) I am very excited for this collection though!
