I think there is a misunderstanding. DC fans are there becausse their stadium is hosting the event. Houston and New England were the teams playing.

So it's not like Houston was playing against DC with the barras right next to each other. It was actually really cool.

they weren't killing each other because they were united against a common enemy... the New England Revolution. It was a game between Houston and New England. It was just in DC's place. I was one of the Revs fans there, and there were about 1,000 of us there.
