@turnbacktime yea it sucks so much that sf2 is still played at a tournament level almost 20 years later. They wont use st game mechanics because now there after the "casual" gamer and want to baby mode the game as much as possible and we have gay naruto lookin graphics, its called sf4. The only reason sf4 is popular now is cause we havent had a sf game in years, if this would it would have came out in the 90s or even early 2000s nobody would have played it.

sf4 graphics are a disgrace, why make 90% of the cast look like roid heads? Naruto fighter graphics are far superior to sf4's, even mvc3 graphics look better.

Most of the changes to the game are fine and helped some of the lower tiers(giefs new command for the spd opens alot of doors). the core is still sf2. The look of the hd sprites are a hit or miss but atleast they still retain there look. Lets get real, would u rather hdr or sf4 characters? Capcom should have stuck to the 2d hand drawn sprites, check out kof12/13, thats how sf4 should have looked.

@thejunkmanlives its far easier to make a game in 3d than 2d nowadays. Its also possible to make a 3d game look 2d but capcom want their characters to look more like tekken characters for some reason.

I dont think we'll ever see a 2d hand drawn game from capcom again.

@thejunkmanlives I still think the ST version sf had the best suitable graphics for a street fighter game. Way before hdremix was released, on srk we were told to give idea's about how the game should turn out. I said instead of HD graphics they should concentrate on adding more frames of animation for each character, in hindsight I was right because hd graphics on a 15 year old looked even worse than the original.

from the screenshots i've seen of sf v tek it looks no different to sf4.

@turnbacktime adding more frames of animation means changing all the moves in the game. Or did u forget about the frame data? When u compare the ST sprites to the original sf2 artwork the hdr sprites come closer to capcoms original vision, or are u forgeting that sagat is meant to be tall and muscular not just tall. ANd then u always have the options of useing the original sprites so complaining about it is dum. ANd both namco and capcom are doin games, namco wont use the sf4 engine.

@thejunkmanlives sorry, I didnt elaborate, on every animated move sequence in ST you have "repeat frames". Replace the repeat frames with transition frames of one pose being animated into another and you have smoother animation. This would've worked better than HD graphics alone. For example a hadouken has about 5 repeat frames with only 3 animated frames.

hop to up ball is a lot easier, dlk to throw is too but nowhere near as useful. jfp to mp rock crusher cancel on 1st hit to ball is doable. ball to throw is very useful as for the damages st is a far more quicker paced game and mistakes will cost you heavy damage. its really an achievement to be able to play well on super turbo. still i love ssf4.
