Great job Tuan. You set the example of what hard, goal setting, and sound training principals can accomplish. Keep up the good work, man. I respect your knowledge and professionalism. When are those educational videos coming out?
@trent2590 I would als like to add that people give me funny looks and i am not even that big. This just to syay that if you are muscular chances are someone thinks you are on steroids or some other illegal substance. What they need to do is look at the current IFBB pros then look at you and I again lol
hey man im 16 and i trained for 13months till today my bw is around 230-260lbs typically.. btw which asian counrty ur from big man? my max lifts DL 245kg squat 220kg bench 145kg any tips on strength bro? hope u can help me thanks
ever considered pulling sumo? you have short legs and a long torso and a raw squat higher than your deadlift, i think it would help a lot, not like ultra wide sumo, like the style ed coan used in his 901@220
@chrischau360 You done gone and made me bleed my own blood by facepalming so hard i almost knocked myself out. Hes wearing a singlet. Inzer makes singlets too. Every brand that makes PL gear makes singlets as well.
@fir3fly798 i agree with you completely about genetics. It has everything to do with running, weight lifting, MATH etc etc. However, tuan being a drug free etc lifter is what he's absolutely proud if and.has every right to be. I think it's pertinent to boast his drug free achievements...especially for the kids that relate steroids with a huge body. Just my two cents. Everything else you're spot on man. Imo
Tuan you are an inspiration to all of us and YOU DO IT THE RIGHT WAY ! Thanks brother for sharing with us and letting us in on your training. Go for more records is ! Have a Merry Christmas sir !
CONGRATULATIONS Tuan....what an athlete a true drug free athlete Tuan much respect to you you are inspirational.....you my friend have achieved what you set out to do meticulously planning every aspect and showing great determination....MUCH RESPECT.......
@InexplicableRage i dont know what the song is called. But I recorded it with this audio software on my computer... and I named it "Tuan Tran's Epic Theme Song" :)
Tuan, inspiring and motivational. I have followed your videos for some time and admire everything you stand for in natural bodybuilding and powerlifting. Keep doing your thing bro!
CONGRATS! i havn't been following you for about a month because my laptop broke but i got a new one yesterday and went straight on your progress Good to see you achieved what you were looking to achieve , your a real inspiration !
es year round. Nonetheless I do respect Tuan Tran and he certainly puts the work in. And his degree in Exercise science should be proof enough that he bothers to do some research. But people need to understand that genetics is just as big of an advantage as gear, sorry but it's true. Back to the point, HELL of a good job at this meet Tuan, killed the squat, looked like you had a bit more in you. Did you not set new national records though?
@Fir3fly798 so you do think getting called a "roider" a few hurdred times a week is "annoying"? I understand that I sound like a broken record with the "drug free" statements. You seriously think I enjoy repeating that statement over and over again? Understand that there are hundreds of youtubers seeing my videos for the first time and they may not know what I am about. So unless you give me a better way of combating the "haters", then I will have to keep posting in my drug free statement.
@roughneckasian I mentioned the fact that I UNDERSTAND that why you mention it , I was just telling someone else it's annoying. But to be honest, I think you shouldn't be so worried about being considered "drug free." Who cares what people think? You have followers, and even if you were on drugs it's clear you no what you're doing from training and dieting. I would just mention it on your channel or in your intro and be done with it.
@Fir3fly798 genetics has a little part of it, its how hard you train and how much you put into your training that is how your going to recieve when you compete
@lucastipton87 Actually genetics can play a huge role; sorry to break it to you. People with superior genetics have more potential and DO NOT need to put in as much effort. FACT. I understand where you're coming from, and everyone who's ever competed in anything knows that knowledge, hard work, and determination are necessary to reach one's goals. I'm not trying to discredit Tuan, he has good genetics and works hard for his goals. But to say "little part" is completely false, I'm sorry.
I'm new to powerlifting, how come being lighter means being less able to lift more weight? Is it only because of the loss in weight implies loss in muscle mass too, or is there some other reason? Cheers.
@Qexen My least favorite part honestly. I get annoyed seeing it mentioned in every video. Now I understand that Tuan mentions it in his videos because he deals with a lot of accusations but when you've done your research and been in the game for a long time, being "natural" doesn't make something any more impressive. What many people realize is genetic variation gives people a huge advantage, and one point Tuan makes is he has some pretty good genetics. It's like an average joe taking prohormon
@iscratchmybutt 250.5 kg/551.1 lbs. My personal best in a meet is 253 kg/556.6 lbs, and that is when I am about 198 lbs. So it is safe to say I will not be breaking that record anytime soon in the 181 weight class
too much of a beast! congratulations Tuan! you've been such a role model and inspiration to us all! all that hard work has paid off! holding multiple TX state records! keep up the great work :)
GOOD JOB Tuan!!. I also lift naturally too and I notice a lot of benefits of doing it the right way. It may take longer than someone who is using enhancement drugs. But at the end of the day, it's all about the hard work you put in yourself from sheer will power is something to be proud of.
oh man nSWEEEE!!!! Tuan Tran deserves everything he gets...thats proof of just straight getting what you want.. so cliche'..cant believe im going to say ..just dang do the thing!!!
@michaelzwarszawy none. that was my 2nd attempt that you saw. I did not get my 3rd attempt and it was only 5 kgs heavier. But still happy to pull 500 plus lbs on the deads after all the other lifts
Congratulations Tuan. Job well done. All in all, would you say the Russian 9 week extended Powerlifing Program was a good one?

Isn't the "Inzer" suit you were wearing considered gear?
chrischau360 2 months ago
@chrischau360 no thats just a singlet so the judges can properly judge squat depth and whether or not the ass is on the bench during the bench press

@Qwerty4077, a lifting belt is ok in RAW because it is used for injury prevention, not used to increase the amount of weight one can lift.
