PLEASE HELP, how can i center my webpage? On a widescreen monitor it works fine but on a smaller monitor it's in the right of the screen and you have to scroll to fully see it, here's the link:

@junior1984able I was having the same problem doing what he is doing. So, I went into the start menu, and then went into notepad. After you get into notepad, type in anything, just so it has something to save. Then hit file, and save as. Then under "save as type" hit "all files". After that, write the name down as anything with ".html" after it. (i.e. thisisakickasswebsiteiammaking­.html) If you have saved it to your desktop, an internet icon should have popped up. I hope this wasn't confusing!

One of the librarians suggests adding a file that gives my school info, so they won't get confused on whom to give it to. But the thing is though, I didn't want people to change the info and steel it, so then I though of using HTML!

Very good tutorial! Im still very new to all this. To be honest i was hoping it would answer another question for me but i still walk away with someting new. But the question that i came here for was: How do you embed flash into a webpage? And I dont want it to have a play button either. I just want it to play the moment the site loads. Its basicly an animated site banner. Im still very new to all of this, so please avoid complicated terms unless necessary haha.

I cannot get IE to "run" the text file. When I open with IE, an IE window appears with the exact text of the file. It doesn't change the title/header or anything else. It just shows the text like when I open it with notepad. Any ideas? Thanks!

Make sure you have the extensions turned on. Open a folder and go up to TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS > VIEW and uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types." That means your file might say "mywebpage" before and "mywebpage.txt" after.

I hope this works.

Yes, you're right about making coders cringe. No offense, I know you're just being very basic. But to actually teach people to use center and marquee tags, not to mention not mentioning using paragraph tags and writing directly into the body isn't really a good thing to do.
