I don't believe it was only pilot & co-pilot error. There are standards to be adhered to at such events. There were probably many other factors at stake - political & career orientated reasons for this devastating catastrophe... but the prosecution was quick & human beings seem to like easy answers. @ razzle27 it was not done on purpose but according to Ukraine's officials the pilots disregarded an order and attempted a stunt they weren't expirienced at low altitude and that's why they r in jail. Also the president of Ukraine blaimed the military forces for the disaster and alot of high ranking officials lost their jobs, resigned, and some of them even wind up in jail for disregarding the public safety....... btw the pilot asked for additional trainning prior to the show, he was dennied.
