I hate how people think cp is all about hanging out with friends, and rs is all about fighting. The truth is that RuneScape you can do tons of stuff other than fighting (skills, quests, hanging out with friends, games, forums, can tell what gender other person is, ect). club penguin you can talk, but theres no chat box or private messaging. so if you wanna talk to your friend you'll have to be amazingly at the same spot at the same time without knowing where each other are.
