Thanks for watching Colby - I subscribed to your channel - great videos. I think you should try to overgrip before sticking to regular cork but maybe it's just something an old guy like me would do. Keep up the good work with your fishing.
i have tried some grip desighns before but i like the good ole cork handles other materials seem to be unneccisary and seem to gum up vibration like light winter bites but i will try this idea sometime if i see a tennis racket at my house i subbed back thanks again
Colby - don't try to use a regular tennis racquet grip - those are too thick and heavy for sure. What I am proposing is a very thin and stretchable nonstick tape that goes over the regular racquet grip... called an "overgrip" - you can get them sometimes in Walmart or other stores that carry sporting goods, they usually come 3 in a pack. Thanks for sub.
I'm finding most cork grips aren't the same quality cork they used to be. The wrap changes things so that it doesn't matter and is a much better grip. I'd say to each his own, but you should make a comparison for yourself before sticking with the status quo. Probably 10 years from now there will be no fishing rods with cork grips.
i dont see the point rods come with grips installed on them that work fine i guess its just a personal preferance i stickin to regular grips

Nice job man, looks good, but I'll never cover up my cork handles.
