AA lost me when they lost Randi Rhodes, Mark Maron and Sam Sedar. I adore Rachel Maddow, but I'd rather catch her on MSNBC. I've also been to the AA website a couple of times and it seems as though they have some type of grudge against Kieth Olbermann, they even posted a story about him that, with a little fact checking, turned out to be untrue. I appreciate AA for what they have done for the progressive and liberal cause, but now they have really turned into just liberal version of Fox News.

AA has always been up front about a liberal point of view and doing commentary rather than reporting. Fox has always claimed objectivity while being the GOP propaganda arm and doing almost no reporting. They're not the least bit the same.

Do you have any proof they are the propaganda arm of the GOP? Fox has a news side and a commentary side, is the news they report any less accurate than say MSNBC, who is owned by GE, and who's CEO advises the President on policy. Does AA report on stuff like that?

For proof, a suggestion that jumps quickly to mind Robert Greenwald's "Outfoxed", but the same information could be gotten elsewhere. Fox's news side is just commentary disguised as news. AA makes no pretense of doing news. However, to answer your last question, yes, AA listeners hear all about corporate media. We've been worked up about this for years, even pre-AA, while the right seems to have barely caught on to the issue of media ownership. And when you do, it's just MSNBC that worries you.

They wouldn't have to since several of their hosts appear on the network, just like Clear channel is never critical of Fox. Maybe my point is getting lost here. You can't accuse another network of being biased in it's reporting and then say it's okay for you to be biased because you're upfront about it. Bottom line is you are still bias. Now if you choose to listen to AA and believe everything they tell then that's your problem, but don't pretend like you hold a monopoly on truth.
