  • LOL! Would be better with an atheist rather than a "Christ-follower". To me it seems like instead of Mac/PC, we've got PC with outdated non working OS vs PC with NEW outdated non working OS. DERP!

  • I don't quite get it because from someone who doesn't believe in a god they both seem silly BUT I do prefer to have "mr. relaxed and not all up in your face with my religion" hanging around. Maybe things would just be a lot better if people were not putting that stuff in everyone's face and just relax. Good for you relaxed, hoodie wearing christian.

  • @chicarbiomed Yeah, maybe I should have read that before sending. I hope you can mentally insert the commas so it makes sense! haha

  • I actually like these. People have slung the title "Christian" around so much what is it to be one? If I say I am a Christ follower then I an confessing Christ as my lord. This a lot of "christians" that don't do that. And I think that's why people are trying to find another title. Nothing wrong with it.

  • Hey come on, the KJV in a leather case is kickass

  • Don't make fun of people with a mental disease.

  • I think it's rather sad, that we change the image of a Christian.

Jesus called us to be his follower but even the Bible called those people "Christians"

It should be the same and not be separated.

  • I will not fall for your crappy puns!

  • it's weird I'm an athiest. also a 16 year old with a solid $26 an hour job 40 hours a week. (during the summer granted), the way i got here.. I believed in myself, i followed what i wanted, and what I needed. Not god.

  • @LunaticSumo Forgive me for getting off track, but where in the world does a 16 year old get a $26/hour job?

  • @PicturaSonus haha, when the sixteen year old is smarter than the majority of humans with computers and lands a job as a Information Technology Specialist.

  • @LunaticSumo Lol. Cheers, then!

  • wait.. if u follow christ doesnt that technically make u christian? the other guy is more like a hardcore christian and the "christ follower" would just be a christian... right..? ,':|

  • Ignoring all of the debate...I love this parody.

  • brilliant

  • aren't these two the same?

  • Both are deluded.

  • :19 Does anyone notice the unappealing Christian carries around the Word of God?

  • khgkhjgjkgjkhgkj

  • god isnt real, fuck religion, i still cant believe people are ignorant enough to still believe in this shit, we need to evolve, stop giving people false hope tht if they say a prayer they are good people, thats not the way it should be, be a good person because its the right thing to do, not because "god" will punish u to "hell" for eternity if u dont believe in him or dont pray after u do something bad.....not a good thing to teach kids

  • @xkyrulzx fuck atheists, i still cant believe people are ignorant enough to still believe in this shit, we need to evolve, stop giving people false hope tht if they dont pray they are good people, thats not the way it should be, be a good person because its the right thing to do, not because "atheists" will call you "fool" for th rest of yur life if u believe in him or pray after u do something bad.....not a good thing to teach kids

  • @CarlosMarti123 .......ur an idiot.....hahaha

  • @xkyrulzx Definition of an idiot: A person who posts a comment on YouTube just to call another person an idiot and laugh about it like a retard.

  • @CarlosMarti123 hypocrite much? hahaha, how can u troll on my comment and than call me an idiot....rofl did u just get a youtube account?

  • @xkyrulzx "rofl did u just get a youtube account?"

ROFL HAVE U EVEN CHCKD MY PROFILE LOLOLOLOL U CAN SEE IT SAYS "Oct 13, 2007" BUT U AREZ 2 STUPIT TO READ IT AN HVE TO SPEL LIEK TIS LMAO

  • @CarlosMarti123 haha nice spelling and caps lock dumbass......learn how to type, even if your not typing everything out all the way learn how to use acronyms correctly.....lol fucking tool

  • @xkyrulzx I was emulating you *sarcasm*

  • @CarlosMarti123 shhhh

  • @CarlosMarti123 Actually the best thing to do is to MAKE AMENDS to the people you've wronged. Praying does nothing.

  • @atheistram Praying does something.

  • @CarlosMarti123 Really?? What exactly does it do? Does God actually answer your Prayers?? If the Bible is correct, God can't do anything to interfere... since he has a plan for us from the time we're born till we die. So any prayer you make, won't be answered.

  • @atheistram

What about when Moses stopped God from destroying the Israelites?

  • @originaljordancoffey Moses is a fictional charakter, unless you have evidence for his existence.

  • @atheistram

Why are you on this page then? Why are you so desperate to communicate to everyone that "God isn't real"? If you truly believe that people shouldn't tell others about their beliefs, not only are you a bigot, but neither should you. Don't go around telling people that "God isn't real" just to cause drama, because people have every right to spread their own beliefs, NOT just you.

  • @originaljordancoffey Just in case you didn`t know, this is a public forum. Nobody has to justify his comments. If you want privacy, there are plenty ways to achieve that. Exactly

..because people have every right to spread their own beliefs,...... Right on man , rright on !! What are you complaining about ?

  • @originaljordancoffey So why even make that comment, if I have just as much a right to spread my beliefs as any Christian. Why are you so vitriolic towards atheists?

People who think that gays don't deserve the same rights as everyone else are bigots. Just as those who believed that interracial marriage was wrong were bigots. Just as those who believed that slavery was moral.

Wanna know how people got those beliefs? The Bible.

  • @atheistram No, what many atheist label as supportive of slavery in the bible was more opposed to slavery than anything of the time it was written. Most support for slavery would have been found with our founding fathers, many of who were slave owners and who supported states rights. Interracial marriage is actually supported by the bible. Moses' wife was a Midian, and so their marriage was interracial. And most Christians support gay rights, just not gay marriage.

  • @griffithomi Moses marriage was international, at best. Not interracial.

Really?? the Bible was opposed to slavery?? Maybe you need to read your Bible, instead of listening to your pastor.

Why are Christians so opposed to Gay Marriage? Because they BELIEVE (with no actual facts supporting it) that being gay is immoral. There is lots of evidence that being gay is in-born, while there is absolutely no evidence that same is environmental.

  • @atheistram No, there is no evidence that being gay is born in. There is plenty of evidence that one can be predisposed to being gay. Many studies have been done on this idea. There have been cases where identical twins had one that was gay and the other that was straight. And yes, the bible had the most restrictive plans for slavery, including that one could not hold a slave for more than 6 years without letting them free, as well as protecting the slaves from harm.

  • @griffithomi Maybe you should read your Bible a bit more. That 6 year thing was for fellow jews and there was a loophole that allowed the slaveowner to keep the jew slaves forever.

In addition, it is much more likely that if one identical twin is gay, the other will be. How is that not evidence for gayness being in-born. Just because there are cases of one identical twin being gay and the other straight, does not point toward gayness not being in-born

  • @atheistram And the bible also said that what applies to the Hebrew applies to the foreigner. And it does actually. It suggests that while there are genetic factors, if one is not gay without pressure, and they are genetically similar, then it can not be genetic solely. I am not saying that there is no genetic factor to it. There clearly are. Left hand people are more likely to be homosexual than right handed people. As are artistic people and people with higher than average IQ's.

  • @atheistram

The bible opposes inter-religious marriage, not interracial. Read it properly because people could become 'jews', it was a religious concept, because you can't become another race. Christian's don't oppose gay marriage because there's nothing to oppose; there's no such thing as gay marriage, redefining it makes no sense.

  • @AtheistTower Marriage has been redefined from Biblical times from many wives, one man to one man, one wife. Marriage has already been redefined so what's the harm in redefining it again.

If the Bible doesn't oppose interracial marriage, why were all Christians (in America at least) using it to oppose interracial marriage?

  • @atheistram

It was defined as one man and one woman in the beginning. Polygamy wasn't obedience to God, it was disobedience and God punished people for it, see Abraham for example. It was never written in the law that it was acceptor, in fact it was completely forbidden for those who worked in God's presence. Christians that try to use it to oppose racial marriage don't understand the real scriptuers, there are many biblically ignorant christians out there.

  • @AtheistTower And you're one of them. Solomon was blessed by God and had like 20 wives and 200 concubines.

  • @atheistram

Actually he ultimately wasn't blessed, things went wrong for him precisely because of that reason and you just proved my point.

  • @AtheistTower Where exactly did things go wrong for him? Provide Chapter and verse, please.

  • Bit crap

  • i thought this was funny and i dont believe in god.

  • FUCK christianity and FUCK religion.

  • @Ilikemustard FUCK atheists and FUCK irreligion

  • @CarlosMarti123 Atheist's are actually MORE moral than most Christians. It comes down to accepting personal responsibility for YOUR actions. Atheist's are all about making amends to the PEOPLE they've wronged, while Christians think that simply by praying for forgiveness to a MAGICAL SKY DADDY they will be blanket forgiven for everything they've done wrong in their lives.

Who sounds more moral to you?

  • create a volcano god, and make people follow man made rules to keep the massess in line, and the women under control and faithful. Books of man made rules. None of that crap came from god. How rediculous. I am glad I am not brainwashed into believing some man made religion. They can make u fly a jet into a building. Where is the common sense?

  • @celticwitan I am glad I am not brainwashed into being a dumb atheist.

  • yea, man made beliefs to follow, to keep women sub serviant and the people under control, and keep giving them money so the volcano god doesn tget them.

  • Lmao "I'm a big dork"

  • If all those miracles with the eucharist are unable to convince 500 million of your sisters and brothers in christ,(protestant denominations) why do you think they will be convincing for non- believers ?

  • 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.. Try it(don`t take poison please) and tell me if jesus promise is true or not. If it doesn``t work he is a liar, or didnt mean what he said.

  • I don't get it. Most of the people I know who are "Christ Followers" read the Bible and other spiritual works more than the "Christians". Doing so strengthens your relationship with Christ. If you do not know Christ, how can you have a relationship with him?

  • @Ladycyg What the video is trying to say is that a lot of "Christians" think that all of these things they are doing is what makes them a Christian, like bumper stickers, books, etc. They are focused on trying to "look like a Christian" instead of trying to act like Christ.

  • @TravisLunceford I think the problem I had with this video was the idea that those who "read religious books, have bumper stickers, etc" are fake Christians while those who are not overtly Christian who are just "good people following Jesus's teachings" were the "real Christ Followers." Being a Christian is about being in a relationship of Love with the Trinity, it's more than just "WWJD?" or love your neighbor. In fact, loving your neighbor only comes after knowing and loving God.

  • @Ladycyg On many occasions Jesus supposedly said... ANYTHING you ask the father in my name, he will give to you....... Do me a favor and ask anything tangible in Jesus name. If you get it ,Jesus told the truth. If you don``t he is a liar, or he didn``t mean what he said. But then you can never be sure whatever he said was meant.

  • @tallliza Look at the verse before, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do *what I have been doing*..." What was Christ doing? He was bringing the people to God through repentance and healing, for their eternal happiness and the greater glory of God. Do you have faith that Christ is healing you for your happiness, even when the treatment hurts? Are you asking for something that will bring about that healing in yourself or others? If not then the answer will be, "no."

  • @Ladycyg Why are you apprehensive to make the test. You know that these promises are lies.

  • @tallliza It's not a lie, I have asked for things of this nature and been answered. One time I begged God for relief in a particular matter that was troubling my spiritual life and a couple hours later I received a phone call (out of the blue) that was the starting point to healing that wound.

When the verse is taken out of context, people think you can ask for _anything_ as in a car or a million bucks and then declare it a lie. Remember, the verse numbers weren't added until the middle ages.

  • @Ladycyg ; He supposedly said clearly, several times. ANYTHING you ask in my name will be given to you... This can not be construed in any other way. Out of context, the usual conversation stopper, when christians cannot answer a problem with the scriptures.. How can you take this out of context, when it is repeated over and over in scriptures ?

  • @tallliza I was referring to John 14:13, if there is another verse you are troubled by, please give it so we may discuss.

  • @tallliza it would be like sitting in a classroom and listening to the teacher give all the resources available to do learn the class material: class time, homework, extra credit, office hours, lab hours, etc. And, at the end of that class the teacher says, "If you need anything just ask and I'll give it." The "anything" is understood to be "any help in learning this material" NOT "anything I can dream up." If you ask for a car you will get laughter because everyone KNEW what the teacher meant.

  • @Ladycyg If you interpret the word --- anything... in any other meaning , you must provide a reason you must have scripture verses, why you believe Jesus did not mean ...ANYTHING.. Besides there are texts that corroborate that he relly meant ANYTHING Followers will handle snakes without danger, drink poison without any effect, heal the sick etc.

  • @tallliza O_o I did give scripture verse...it is you that have not. Also, I'm Catholic, a church that has the teaching authority of the apostles and 2000 years of history to back up this interpretation. If some people, separated from the full truth, read that verse out of context and die picking up rattlers, that doesn't make Jesus a liar. There have been saints who have done all those things (St Patrick, St Benedict and St Peter respectively to name a few) because it brought spiritual healing.

  • @tallliza huh, it was correct to flag this as spam, you are like a broken record and you've not actually read anything I wrote.

Try this prayer, "Lord, if you exist please grant me the grace to know you." and brace yourself, for you are talking to a person who will answer in the way HE feels is best - not a genie who performs on command. Our lives are to help us grow in knowledge and love of God, a person, who is loving you into being. You are meant for more than this pettiness.

  • @Ladycyg You are one of those defenders of the faith, who shy away from a simple test, to see of your faith is true yes or no. Enjoy your fantasy.

  • @tallliza Why are you so desperate to believe that Christianity is false that you would shy away from actually learning what it teaches?

  • @Ladycyg I am not desperate, my dear, not at all. but you won`t do the test, because you know the test results will show your faith is fantasy

  • @tallliza if you are not desperate, why do you persist in not reading the explanations given? Even to the point of ignoring my witness to a prayer answered in a direct and concrete way.

  • @tallliza How about this? Deuteronomy 6:16 - "Do not test the LORD your God"

  • @originaljordancoffey : You are beating around the bush. Did he, or did he not say...Ask anything in my name and the father will give it to you(not excactly in those words) ?? ....Yes or no ?

  • @Ladycyg ; You cannot give any verse contradicting what he said... You will get ANYTHING if you ask it in Jesus name. ... How can you claim ANYTHING means something else, if the author of the bible does not give you no other meaning. I know you will find somewhere a verse that you can use, to screw the meaning of words, but YOUR interpretation has no value unless the bible backs you up.

  • @tallliza Matt 7:21 - "Not everyone who says to me, "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven."

Mark 15:32 - "Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe."

Is that what you are asking for? Let's see, we have a real-world example where someone would be a smart a... for holding to "anything means ANYTHING." We have the context of the passage and we have other passages which show Jesus not giving what people ask for (and there are more).

  • @Ladycyg How do those texts explain that ...ANYTHING.. doesn`t mean.. anything.. but something else !!

  • @tallliza quite simply, these people asked Jesus for SOMETHING (which is a part of the ANYTHING set) and he refused. This is recorded in the Christian bible, yet the earliest Christians shed blood attesting that Jesus was no liar. You have a problem, either the early Christians were duped when they hand recorded this "obvious contradiction" OR they had a very different understanding of "anything" than you do.

  • @Ladycyg Let,samke a deal.. You ask something tangible(material, not spiritual) in jesus name, and if you get it, and you can prove it. I shall believe.

  • @tallliza An actual conversation with a friend has both a physical and a spiritual component to it (as does everything else in this life). That day I was praying for knowledge, that knowledge was given to me through a very tangible conversation with a friend (I was after all typing most of it). This is just one of a multitude of answered prayers.

The problem isn't the lack of evidence, it's that you will disregard or ignore any evidence given. You don't WANT to believe. Why?

  • @Ladycyg Knowledge-- is nothing tangible It can never be proven, if you got and how you got it !! I admire your clairvoyance about what I will accept or disregard.. You should apply for a fortune-teller job.

  • @tallliza It is not a matter of clairvoyance, but of simply observing your responses. You have ignored the Eucharistic miracle (and an incorrupt piece of heart tissue is very tangible). You have dismissed the many accounts of miracles by the saints (the only difference between us and them is that they are confirmed to be in heaven). Ignored the numerous healings and cures over 2000 years and now laugh away a written [IM chat!] acquisition of knowledge. It is clear you have no interest in facts.

  • @Ladycyg The Eucharist is no tangible proof. There is no evidence. You believe by faith. If ... believing.. is proof, then Santa Claus is real, because the kids belief he exists. There are no miracles. Only phenomena science cannot explain.. yet. Again I admire your clairvoyance about my interest in facts. If there is ANYTHING I am interested in it is, FACTS. EVIDENCE..

  • @tallliza "Only phenomena science cannot explain.. yet." That is exactly my point. If I "prayed" for a pink pony to appear in my room and "poof!" one appeared, you still would not believe because it was only "some trick" or a phenomenon that science had "not yet explained". Do a google search on "eucharist lanciano" and what you will find is flesh and blood that has been examined scientifically. But you will discredit even that, because you have already decided NOT to believe. Why?

  • @tallliza You really have no response to that other than to weakly laugh? Obviously it's far more "fun" to pretend to be intelligent by scoffing at logic, evidence and facts. Here's a hint though, It actually just makes you look dumb.

When you decide to start using reason, try researching Roger Bacon, William of Ockham, Copernicus, Descartes, Mendel, Fr. Lemaître, and many other Catholic scientists, not to mention the other great thinkers. It's good to learn *before* laughing.

  • @Ladycyg May I just remind you that about one fourth of christianity( most protestant denominations,) do not even believe in transubstantiation. In my country they even have blood from Christ. It`s all baloney. Miracles happened commonly in the Middle-Ages and before. Nowadays they are all gone. Why ?

  • @tallliza Lanciano is still occurring today; the flesh has not decomposed in 1300 years. However if you would like something more recent, a French nun was healed of Parkinson's disease in 2005. Miracles are still common, even if you are just limiting God to those extraordinary ones.

  • @Ladycyg I know all that stuff. As I said christ`s blood becomes liquid every 4 years in my country.. It`s all baloney.. Where did they got the blood of Christ ? They brought it from Jerusalem during the Crusades. Somebody must have been ready with a bucket at the cross and kept it in his basement for a 1000 years.

  • @tallliza I am unfamiliar with the one to which you are referring. In Lanciano the flesh was not brought from Jerusalem, but appeared on the altar during the consecration where a piece of bread once was. How can you just say "it's all baloney" without actually studying it as the scientists have? Do you reject the scientific method of gathering facts before making a determination?

  • @Ladycyg Again if all those miracles with the eucharist, are unconvincing for 500 million of your brothers and sisters in Christ, why would it be convincing to me

  • @tallliza many do not know they exist. Many others have not researched them as you are refusing to do. Many others balk at the thought of taking Jesus's words literally. Others refuse to believe because they hate the Church, or what they think the Church is.

In the end though, popularity doesn't determine truth. If everyone suddenly believed gravity stopped working, would that negate all of physics? Would you believe based on evidence or based on the popular vote?

  • @Ladycyg In the end though, popularity doesn't determine truth, ... Indeed, that is why the belief of 2 billion christians, does not mean they have the truth. The truth is based on evidence, nothing else.

  • @Ladycyg It's good to learn *before* laughing. Yes indeed It is good to demand evidence before believing, that`s why we got a brain,

  • @tallliza yes, we do indeed have a brain. Have you studied Aristotle and Aquinas? They had brains too. Aristotle determined, through reason and logic alone, that there was only one God, an unmoved-mover -- 300 years before Christ. Aquinas took up this philosophy and combined it with Christianity to offer his proofs for God's existence.

RE: Not all Christians are Catholic -- Truth isn't determined by popular vote. If everyone believed gravity was wrong, would that negate all of physics?

  • @Ladycyg Since you mention Thomas Aquinus, may I again remind you that this...doctor of the church... wrote the manuscript how to deal with heretics, and is therefor directly responsible for the murders during the Inquisition. And to reward this criminal he was given the title.. of doctor of the Church...

  • @tallliza Being declared a saint doesn't mean that you are perfect. Even in this case, although heavily influenced by the times which would execute heresy as treason, for it caused war, he still emphasized the importance of trying to get them to see the error of their ways.

Also, during the Inquisition, it was better to be tried by the Church, which sought repentance, than the state, which sought death. The numbers killed by the state were far fewer because of the Church's interference.

  • @Ladycyg May I remind you again that during the Middle-Ages. The church was the authority, even appointed and crowned kings. The wordlly authority obeyed the church. The cruelty of the inquisition is solely the responsabilty of the Roman Catholic Church.

  • @tallliza It's interesting you complain about the morals of some church members as if that negates the whole religion. It would be like someone saying "Feynman was a womanizing cad and thus his physics is bunk!" It doesn't hold water.

There have been sinners in the church since day one, one of our first bishops betrayed God to His death. HOWEVER, that doesn't make what we believe untrue. Don't let atheist writers think for you, do the research yourself.

  • @Ladycyg I expose the morals of some church members, I do NOT complain. For an organisation(religion), which claims the high ground on morality, any immorality is much worse. If anything, i showed that christians cannot claim to be the showcase of morality, nor can Islam. By the way, if you watched TV. The archbishop of New-Orleans just officially apologized for the role of the cath church in the slave trade. It`s about time !!!!!!

  • @tallliza We do not claim to be the "showcase of morality" as you put it. The church isn't a hotel for saints, but a hospital for sinners. From day one the church has been filled with sinners, who hardly need your help in "exposing". Again, the sins of every individual member doesn't negate the TRUTH taught, anymore than the sins of Feynman negate his contributions to physics.

Again, do the research yourself, don't just blindly follow those who have an axe to grind against the Church.

  • @Ladycyg scoffing at logic.... Where is that logic ? in the bible ?

  • @tallliza so again, why do you refuse the evidence given? If a 600 year old piece of heart tissue, a nun who can walk again, and a written conversation where a secret was revealed won't suffice then what will? I tell you, even if someone were to rise from the dead you still would not believe!

  • @Ladycyg What evidence do you have for your claims, NONE. Just hearsay. The saints did no more miracles as you and me. Did you know that there is a commission working to reexamen the so called-- miracles.. of shady saints. What is that secret (revealed) you are talking about , Are you talking about Fatima !! Did you know that the third secret never happened. And if one didn`t, that renders the others suspicious as well.

  • @tallliza Further, as I mentioned earlier, I have had a prayer answered, in a VERY concrete way. For months I was tormented by something and I finally went to the Lord begging for healing. Two hours later I was contacted by someone, on a night he would not normally contact me, out of the blue after a month of non-contact, who told me a secret he had held for 10 years and was the cause of my suffering, because "he just felt he had to talk to me." God answers prayers.

  • @Ladycyg That is not anything tangible. Anybody who prays for something spiritual, can claim whatever he says. There is no proof. Prayers, in earthly matters, have been proven 100% useless.

  • @tallliza I didn't spiritually connect with that friend, in fact most of the conversation was via IM - so I still have it. What about a person being healed of a disease? There have been many cases throughout history of that. What about a Eucharistic host turning into flesh and blood? Check out Lanciano. Prayers have been answered since the beginning, it is only the atheist who gets upset because he wasn't given a pony on demand.

  • well, at least there are some christian americans which i know arent trying to take over the world

  • Well...the thing is, in NT Greek, the word that is translated "Christian" actually MEANS "follower of the Christ" which means "follower of The Annointed One" (or Messiah). The early Christians were actually JEWS and the ones who followed Jesus were considered part of a sect of Judaism. They were first called "Christians" (χριστιανος) by other Jews almost mockingly because they believed Jesus to be "the Christ". Taking on a label given by those trying to oppress is empowering.

  • This video is not a good thing. It does not glorify God, and anyone who supports this video is not demonstrating the love that is Christ, much like our atheist friend below (1John 4:8 - He who does not love does not know God, for God is love). If a person follows Christ, he will love his brother (1John 4:20 - If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar). The start of 1John 4 warns about false prophets (who would love to cause division). Beware, my brothers, & God bless :)

  • all you bible thumpers one day will be on your death bed thinkin your goin to a "better place" but then theres no light or any of that imaginary bullshit and before you die all you can think is holy shit george carlin was right

  • If you try to have just enough faith to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He loves you enough to have died for you, then you would begin to understand why believers love sharing the good news. I could offer you all the evidence in the world that God's Word is true, but you could still choose not to believe. I promise you will believe one day, but then it might be too late ("it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment" - Hebrews 9:27). Please believe

  • im an athiest and i love this

  • Christian no more? Odd-the Apostles had no problem being called Christians, nor have "Christ Followers" for the last 2,000 years. At least, not until people were more concerned about being cool than Christian, then had to change the name, like changing a student into a learner. Funny also how the one they are mocking, the KJV Bible reading, book studying, Christians who wants people to see in every way, even dress, that they are a Christian, is shown being the mocker. Hm.

  • Here's my biggest problem with all of this. We've been calling ourselves "Christians" for the last 2000 yrs since the Day of Pentecost. Now all of a suden in the 21st century, as the "Last days" are upon us and as Christ is about to return, we want to change our name. Something is not adding up.

  • Can someone give me a web site I can go to so I can find out more about these "Christ Followers"?

  • We can call ourselves what ever we want. The "world" will know us by our fruits and God will know us by what's in our hearts. The "Christian" is no more saved than the "Christ follower" and the "Christ follower" no more saved than the "Christian" if neither have accepted Jesus Christ as thier personal Lord and Saviour and if neither "Turn from thier wicked ways". All in all though this sounds more like infighting in the "Church". If it causes division in the "Church" it is not of God.

  • @calicuz So an athiest is damned to hell (no matter what his or her life is like) but a child raping bastard who accepts Christ on his deathbed is destined for heaven? Seems unfair.

  • @atheistram

also, NO ONE is worthy. That's why they called Grace. It's unmerited favor, because no one can earn it, and only God can give it.

  • @originaljordancoffey Grace instead of works is inherently immoral. A Christian can do whatever he wants so long as he sincerely begs for forgiveness from YOUR magical sky daddy before death.

  • LOL. my youth pastor showed us these vids one Sunday- twas awesome.^^

  • In the Greek: Act 26:28 " ... to be ginomai a Christian "Christianos."

  • used to be a christian, then I realized all the showy stuff was pointless. So I became a christ follower, then I realized the bible is rediculous . Now I'm an atheist.

  • Ever heard of Skillet, they are christians from what i've heard, but they don't sing about Jesus. They make their own creative music, with good lyrics.

    Thats unique :)

    Christ follower for the win.

    BTW i'm not a Christian :)

  • I'm a Christian who is a follower of Christ...so ya...

  • ... this needs autotune

  • ajja a Religious vs a non-Religious

  • Ah the KJV of the bible. Nothing says "Every word of this is true" like stories about dragons and unicorns.

  • It seems like a LOT of people are missing the point of this video. It's not just about using the word "Christ Follower" instead of "Christian" because Christians have a bad reputation. People use the word "Christian" very loosely these days, people say that they're a "Christian" but they don't act very Christ-like, religion is about traditions, rules, rituals, trying to work their way to God etc. Jesus came to tear down all of that and to die for us so that we can have a relationship with God.

  • @ tooaware why is it that the life of a "christian" condemns those who live the life? In His ministry the only ones Christ stepped in were those of the religious estabishment. Not the sinners. Whenever he rebuked, it was aimed squarely at those who thought they had it, not the ones who did not. In fact His life was such that He attracted sinners to them, not repelled them away from Him.

  • The bible calls us Christians. Ac 26:28 and 1Pe 4:16.We are here to share the gospel. God does not need a public relations manager. This video is covertly critical of people who treasure the Word of God and "study to present themselves as workmen who do not need to be ashamed handling accurately the Word of truth." 2Tim. 2:15.

  • @tooaware Actually the Scripts RECORD that we were called Christians. By others, that is. Some ppl believe it was a form of mockery if u look @ the historical record. U can find this n your Bible dictionary. Anyway, the word is only mentioned 2 or 3 more times n all of Scripture - & never from the lips of the Messiah - yet it appears that over time, the disciples embraced the word. & that's y we call ourselves "Christian" 2 this day. It's actually more appropriate 2 say "disciple" or "believer."

  • @tooaware

Uh, no your ENGLISH VERSION tells you that, the actual text does not.

  • Comment removed

  • Problem with this video... True Christians are not here to make friends, and start a public relations campaign for God. We are hear to share the gospel. That in itself condemns those who reject it. The bible calls us Christians. Why isn' t God's description good enough? I guess God's Word isn't hip enough.

    Ac 26:28 and 1Pe 4:16

It's too narrow for the open minded...

  • It could have started "Hi I'm a christian" "And I'm a slightly more annoying christian."

  • @SoberTroat Thanks Atheists for being so tolerant and using your morals...and its funny that Atheists always claim that it is us Christians that are not tolerant so thanks for being a true Atheist

  • @Jerseygirl8999 Ignore that idiot . If he's an atheist I think he needs to look into secular humanism and the many good reasons for it. But hey he could be a muslim? Piont is there aren't any true atheists there's just people whether christian or atheist people can be assholes I think thats something we can all agree on.. You christians get it easy when on of you behaves bad they aren't following the bible or being a true christian. When an atheist is an ass well he embarasses us all

  • A Christian is someone who belongs to the Christian faith (ignoring denominations) A Christ follower is one who makes it his or her personal goal to examplify Christ in his every action. "Christian" has the cannotation that you're in the club trying to "proclaim" it. Christ-follower cannotes you're being an example of of Christ-like behavior for other members.

  • @natsukosan that's a good answer.

  • Religion. Nuff said.

  • "Those who believe (in the Quran), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians...and (all) who believe in God and the last day and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." The Qur'an, 2:62

  • Stone them! Stone them!

  • um, doesn't Christian mean, Christ-like-or someone like Christ, meaning following the one named Christ-therefore Christian and Christ Follower is the same thing. Why show the world that we are fighting over a name that is similar. If we are following Christ, we are Christians. I understand the skit, don't get me wrong. I think that too many of us are starting to get snobby over a name--"I'm a Christian" "I'm a born-again Christian" "I'm a Christ Follower" If you follow Jesus-ur a Christian

  • @Ahpc2

its not the same thing. like BallerCityTV said. christian is a very loose term nowadays.

  • this is probably an innocent message, its just the part at the end where it says Christian No More. As if he is something else now. Don't like that, but the concept of the person trying to show he's a christian is interesting.

However, theres nothing wrong with all that reading, nothing wrong with KJV, in fact it has ALL the verses. These are good things to keep you on track.

but dressing up for church is something that is unecessary. God doesn't see your clothes. He sees your heart.

  • These iChurch and Mac parodies of Christianity actually are simple, yet very convicting. For me, as well as others, the message hits home. I've been at a place in the past, of self-righteousness, of trying to advertise my faith by the logos, verses, bumper stickers, etc.

But yet, I failed to measure up to what I was trying to portray. It stings the pride, yet is true-- you can't make empty claims. It's a relationship, not rule-keeping & pretty appearances.

  • Fk jesus christ!!!

  • Rev 2; 2-4 Many times we get lost in religion and we forget about our first love

  • @jesusnava55

    God I miss mini-chicklets...

  • @Harizl lol... what? that was random haha do you mean chicles (gum in spanish). I like chicles to haha that was funny

  • @jesusnava55

well, when I was a kid there was packets of mini-chicklets gum for a quarter.

First love and all, never forget.

  • Snide and sophomoric. Reminds me of the old hippie mantra, "never trust anyone over 30." (They know better now.) You "Christ followers" are standing on the shoulders of "Christians" - Christians who would never dream of creating something as juvenile as these videos. Spend some time studying your Bible; see if you can find this kind of drivel in the epistles. Or research church history; then show a little gratitude.

  • @mariashusband "These six things doth the LORD hate yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look..." And it goes on from there. God doesn't like arrogance. This was a take on the arrogance some Christians show.

  • Nice! I love the message

I have many friends who call themselves Christians but don't give him the time of day. They truly believe but the world has distracted them.

(Though I still have a long way to go and I'm still struggling to stay my eyes on him and not the world as well)

I thank you for this video and I thank God for giving you the inspiration for this video.
