This tune gives me so much nostalgia. The underground stages were insanely difficult, but I thought they were awesome just for this song. I loved this game ever since I was three, and I still, to this day, consider it my most favorite game of all time. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a close second.

It's amazing because it's so fitting... While many songs can sound fitting, or make you think of an environment, this actually sounds like a cave singing.

The main horn, it blares through the cave as if it were the trunk of a massive, trumpeting elephant. The airy wind instrument follow-up is the whistle of wind through the cave system, weaving as though through a colossal flute. The tinkling in the background is the singing of long-hidden crystals and the steady dripping of underground lakes.

This game IS my childhood,it really looks like a kids game,but its hard and really fun to play.I remember being hooked to this game,sitting late,and playing this.Everyone in the house is sleeping,im playing this game,jumping,eating,throwing eggs,all the beautifull graphics mixed with awesome music and perfect controls gave me the chills.I had strong nostalgia while i played mario forever,because in world 3 this music plays,and the background shows night with many starts falling.

Two memories that stand out for me with this game are the night I had to go to bed early for my first day of Kindergarten. and being picked up from the Doctor's office, was a huge ass storm/power line got knocked down, and I came back home to play this game..I remember I was at World 6 :D

Omg, I had the wierdest dream last night. Let me tell you firsthand, it was about Mario. They wanted to go to Japan, but they ended up in Las Vegas. They were split up, and Mario found a house. Luigi found Yoshi, hugged him (i could feel Yoshi....) and they found Mario drinking a beer. Luigi had to fight a lot of minions with a sword and fight the Leader, the guy from SMB2. Yoshi helped, while mario did nothing.
