@threekill28 Where i live in Queens, NY we're not too prone to flooding, but it does happen from time to time. Mostly dealing with water in the basement issues and things like that.
@chstigers07 You got that right! I remember all to clear the MASSIVE amount of flooding in the wake of Floyd! Took me forever just to get back up the coast to NYC. Thanks for watching
@bflatism Yep! I remember driving back to NYC where I live while the storm was still affecting our area. Lots of flooding with that one for sure! It hit 12 days before my 27th birthday, lol. Thanks for watching!
@bflatism i rember it to since i was 9 and flooded my basement the 2nd floor lucky didnt flood the 3rd/4th/5th floor since that where i lived. but i rmeber seeing all the helicopters flying over bound brooke since they got ravged from the raritan river.
@diesfie It was coming down something fierce!! The area I was in received over 13 inches of rain from Floyd! Needless to say, navigating the floods was very tough. It took me almost 18 hours to get home the following day.
@tornadovideostock i lived in greenville nc the north side was severely flooded, theres a park in north side of town two weeks after the hurricane The water was so high it was unbelievable it flood its banks flooded the sidewalk and reached over a five foot high that was 50 feet away
@coolnick52 Thanks for watching! Yes, the flooding was insane during and after this storm. It took me like 16 hours to get back to NYC after it was all over with. So many roads were under water I kept getting detoured! Unreal.
You did a fantastic job on this Scott! I like everything about this video! Incredible wind with Hurricane Floyd. You got great footage of Floyd! Thanks for sharing your vids, and I will be sure to share any good videos I have with you too.
@VideographyOfStorms Thanks so much Nathan! Really happy you enjoyed the footage! I was still new at chasing canes at the time but I was overall pretty happy with the way the video came out :)
Absolutely AWESOME, Scott!!! This brings back a lot of memories from the '99 season. In addition to the initial threat from Floyd, down here in Florida we also got blasted by Irene in October... that was quite a year! Thanks for sharing.
@Ecw4Lyfe I have no doubt one day you will! Floyd was a late show as the best stuff came in around 2am, but he was definitely worth staying up for! lol
@bluesemotion So glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching :) Yes, hurricanes can be quite the intense experience for sure. This storm ranked just below major status, so you can imagine how intense a major hurricane can be.
I lived in gaston when this hurricane happened and we had really bad weather there too. i was in middle school then...
