No doubt about it. i own one and would know. not a fan of the ferrari tail lights but its not my car. if u think it a skyline then your obviously never seen a Z with ferrari taillights and a skyline. A skylines trunk opens in between the taillights and on this car u can obviously tell that the trunk doesnt.

Anti lag systems do create that backfiring effect, but this is more likely just a rich tune with the excess fuel still burning when he lets off the throttle.

Anit lag systems are used alot on evos, its all about making the cam timing different so that the exhaust valves are open whilst still firing, this creates extra boost whilst changing gears and stops lag -

zzz..... lag is the time it requires a turbo to get enough speed to start producing boost. bovs help lower this time by letting compressed air out of the intake rather than gettin forced back through the turbo(spinning it backwards/slowing it). thus decreasing time for the turbo to get back to RPM required to prouce boost. and this aint anti lag cos its back firing when off throttle... how u gonna build boost when ur backing off??? just flat shift lol

You're right, but you've got the wrong term. Anti-lag is the retarding of the timing. A BOV does help the turbine in the turbo keep spinning. The retardation of the timing releases unburnt oxygen and fuel in the exhaust system, and the next time the exhaust gases are released (which is like a split second later) the oxygen+fuel detonate, causing a huge gas boost/rush and keeping the turbine spinning in the turbo.

Clearly a Z32. Look at the hatch and the quarter panel and it's dead obvious. Also the light panel is a dead giveaway because the skyline lights werent in a panel like that.
