if finding the coin after you've dug it up is the problem, get a Cen-tech hand held metal detector off of ebay. they are very cheap, and are extremely useful for pinpointing any coin that you may have misplaced while digging up the hole.

just got a ace 250 they work ok, but they do find a lot off crap but im sure they will find the good stuff,to, good vid but took a long time to find the coin, but whos in a hurry ,take your time its great fun,all ive found sofar is crap but still fun !!!

Guys that was the worst pinpointing I have ever seen. Slow down the coil movement and put the dirt in one place. Take out the dirt put it in one place, run the coil over the top slowly. If no sound run over the hole slowly and pinpoint the tarpet and use the screen to see the best terget id. Is it all the squares, if so, dig in the center of where the coil ID your target. Trying to go too fast takes longer when you mess up.

I hate that with my Ace 150. You get mucked about in the same way with noise, then no noise. Its frustrating!!!

I found 54 roman coins with the searchman fieldmaster however my friend found alot more as his metal detector gos deeper will the garrat ace 250 help me find more that the field has to offer as i know theres alot more out there yet my detector is struggling with the dept on full.

Let me tell ya, the Ace is shite with rechargeable batteries, I get about an hour out of fully charged 2100mAh's before it starts going nuts and false reading all over the shop! Its also a bitch for the UK market as 20p's and 50p's shows as ring pulls... On the plus side, it doesn't lack depth, I've found quids at nearly a foot and a half!

I must say either your batteries or you Ace is faulty. I put half-charged 2500 mAh Energ**er batteries and they last for a long long time. Like its not even using them!

Yeah I do find pull tabs as well, and when there's some rust on the coin is does say its iron.

But I still like my 250 :)

Depends on ground, sens and treasure size. 8" for a normal coin is the normal match..i found a bronze antique object (less than 1 feet size) at quite 2 feets. This object was given to the Cultural Bureau Officers, of course:). I prefer the BH QDII to the ACE, anyway..

pinpointing on the ace is also perfect when you use it right.

I have a ace 250 and did use it for 2 times now and the pinpointer is great my holes are not as big as they used to be.

Pinpointing was rather inefficient. I think piling the dirt from the hole in one spot is better.

A pin pointer really helps, but the Ace 250 does pickup on coins (USA) very well! Once you learn the coin sound, you KNOW it's $. LOL

sometimes it´s really hard...you have located the target exactly, then you dig a little bit, and suddenly you cannot fin it again...:)

Nowdays I hunt with an xp Goldmaxx power and I diden't had this problem anymore..

You do not just find coins, you'll find lots of aluminium(large sized)you're olso able to find some other objects like buckets and things like that. The best way to search with the 250 is in Relic mode with 2 blocks extra discrimination. In a few days we"l upload a new ace 250 vid where we find a silver coin!!!

allow me to explain some things:

1. This vid was made in october so when it was made i was searching for over 6 months.

2. The coin was on his side, that made in very difficult to dig it out. Normally it really goes allot faster :)

the prizm v is still alot better at finding things than the ace. you see these guys hunting like crazy when they should have found it much quicker than what they did. my daughter is 13 and she hunts better than this
