Full Vault at the tire wall and landing on his head?! That crash was insane! I can't believe he made it out of there in one piece! Carpentier has some kinda horseshoes...
Man, seriously, Carpentier is the king of wild crashes. I say he was saved thanks to the tyre barrier that propelled him over the fence. If it wasn't there he'd hit the fence and surely die.
Buddhové z Bamjánu byly dvě obří sochy stojících Buddhů vytesané do skalního masivu v bamjánském údolí v Afghánistánu. Sochy se nacházely přibližně 230 kilometrů severozápadně od afghánského hlavního města Kábulu v nadmořské výšce okolo 2500 metrů. Byly vytvořeny v 6. století a stály až do roku 2001, kdy byly zničeny radikální islámsko-politickou skupinou Tálibán.
Just another reason gravel runoff areas need removed from all race tracks. the pavement run off has been tested and slows the car faster without the chance of the car digging in and flipping. if he had not went airborn at the 2nd level of gravel he would have hit the tire wall they way it should be.
Luffy26 you muppet QUOTE:F-1 is cool coz no one ever dies when there's accidents! WTF, we've lost some of the worlds greatest F1 drivers due to accidents. Arse!
That looks prett simular to what happen a year earlier to his late teammate at California Speedway when Greg Moore lost control and was airborn but landed upside down on a concrete barrier with an impact, if i remember correctly, of about 150g's. I'll never forget that day because I was there. Lucky for Patrict that he was not going as fast as Greg.

1 flip with 1/2 twist, very nice Rodriguez! Just cleared it aswell.
DrKennethNoisewater7 3 years ago
Rodriquez had a similar crash (but face first, if I remember correctly) at the cork screw but landed straight on his head on the dirt.
autogyrofreak 4 years ago
Yeah, if Carpentier went in head first he might have been killed because his head wasn't restrained like it is in a backwards impact.
Pre mandatory HANS device days, that is.
Twi11ig 3 years ago
Did his crash happen the same weekend as the one of Gonzalo Rodriguez (correct spelling?)?
RimRiderQC 4 years ago
Rodriguez was '99.

interesting the soft-landing effect thanks to the tire piles, you can see the smooth deceleration in the begginig of the loop.

imbok most people wouldnt die in the same crashes in f1 cars because they are heaps safer than these pieces of shit.
trevorwinton 4 years ago
these arent pieces of shit smart one
Rivelution 4 years ago
well they arnt exactly a fucking engineering feat....
trevorwinton 4 years ago
and what makes you think that they are'nt? comparing the two classes of racing doesnt work.
jbarbour11 4 years ago
F1 cars are really a lot safer but again they are driven on faster tracks and can do a hell of a lot faster cornering speeds.
juujoa 4 years ago
that was weird, like it was supposed to go over the fence because it was just high enough to.
