That was NOT a double lung shot. It was a liver shot at best. It's amazing how many hunters think the lungs on a pig are the same as a deer. Go to Texasboarsdotcom and click on Tactics and tips, then Hunting, then Kill Zone Anatomy to see a cut-away view of a REAL hog! Notice that the lungs do not extend very far behind the leg/shoulder! Don't take my word for it, look at the pictures!
I will have to pay closer attention to the next hog I harvest. The shot placement appeared a little back but would have hit the lungs on a deer. This hog ran 50-75 yards tops. This is also an old video shot about 2001 so my memory of the cleaning has faded. I reviewed the original video several times and compared the shot placement with your kill zone anatomy and it appears about 3" back from the shoulder near the lung/paunch area. Hog also did not make a sound when hit. Wounded hogs squeal.
